If you dont want to hurt your closest friend then you shouldnt do anything ... in the meantime you should make friends with him and when she is over him start flirting or whatever. But not now... whait

Boys come and go but friends are with you forever! you should really respect your friend and keep away from this boy. It's hard but believe me it'll be better than possibly losing your best mate!!

You answered your own question by saying 'i don't want to hurt my closet friend', then don't. Dont't date him, he's just some guy that is really cute, do you even know anything about him?
P.S.
You shouldn't have a boyfriend till you learn proper english.

You can't not be friends with someone just because she likes him.You may not even like him once you get to know him! You'll never find out unless you try.If it turns out he is just friend material...Tell him about cousin. If not have fun,You're only young once.

i would talk to your friend and tell her that you and him go to the same school and you will see him more than her and you probly like him more, and see what happens. Just tell her you think it would work out better if you went out with him. hope i helped.

If she doesn't even go to the same school as hima dn you, why does it matter? I don't think it would kill her just because you wrenched the guts up first to ask him out. Go ahead and ask him or whatever it is you wanted to get to know. If your friend is just that, she'll just get on with her life. ;P <3 EJ

Well you should see if she's going to do anything about it and if she doesn't then ask her if you can make your move..sorry if that didn't help!
