ok... i have to write an essay for my 9th grade english class about romeo and juliet. We have to dicuss whether or not they were in love. I feel that they werent really in love, just lust. I need help in finding information to prove my point, which is that romeo and juliet werent really in love. If any one has any advice about this please tell me! thanks

Look up stuff on the chemical aspect of love/lust/attraction.

But you need to base your evidence on the time period the piece was actually written in. Back then sex wasn't really something ordinary, especially to people of such nobility. And the fact that they barely saw eachother enough to lust over. [ CourtneyGlynne's advice column | Ask CourtneyGlynne A Question ]

Look what they went through just to be together, their families wouldn't let them be together, so they ended the fight by killing themselves so they could be in heaven forever together! They were totally madly in love! If you think it wuz just lust, then you must not have really understood it...I suggest reading it again, then writing your essay. Much Love!!

And why romeo would constantly stop fights between the two families so he could stay with juliet. Your opinion is very i suggest you rethink it. [ shake's advice column | Ask shake A Question ]

I'm not sure what kind of information your searching for to prove your point. I know that there are a lot of examples that you can give to support your argument, but are you looking more toward psychological sources that proves that it's lust? or...?
Like if it's works cited, I'd recommend looking into some psychology forums online. If it's informal arguments and concepts, just reply back and I'll see what I can do :) [ mylinhthan's advice column | Ask mylinhthan A Question ]
