Hey..I just want to lose weight..i'm 5 foot 5 inches tall and weigh 126 pounds..i participate in sports all year round..and I just want a way to lose some fat..mostly in the hips..and just asking if anyone knows how..

Altazuma answered Monday March 14 2005, 1:01 am: There is no magic formula. Basically you need to burn more calories than you eat. You are active, so perhaps you do not need to increase your sport but want to cut your calories. Just try substituting foods where you can. You don't need to eat "less", just less calories. More fruit, more vegetables, less fats and oils. You are not overweight at 126 lbs so you don't need to worry too much. A small adjustment will do the trick and give it time to work. See if you can lose 1 lb a week or fornight. Do not try and drop 6 lbs in a week or you will end up on some crash diet and all the weight will go back on the moment you stop.
