Karen answered Saturday March 12 2005, 6:18 pm: The best position to sleep in while you are on your period is on your stomach. The blood won't leak, if you are wearing a pad, and it will go towards the front part of the pad. You could also lay on your side too. It really doesn't matter what way you lay when you sleep, whatever position you are comfortable with, it's alright.

MummuM answered Saturday March 12 2005, 2:29 pm: They best way would be sleeping on your belly. This allows the blood to flow down and go on your pad, insted of all over your underwear if you were to lay on your back.

powertrash answered Saturday March 12 2005, 10:16 am: It really doesn't matter.
Just to let you know, though, if you sleep with a tampon in you should put it in right before you go to bed and wake up early to take it out. It's okay to sleep with it in, but you have to be really careful. [ powertrash's advice column | Ask powertrash A Question ]
S_C answered Saturday March 12 2005, 7:34 am: Depends what you use... If you use a pad, then I think you're better off on your side, but if you use a tampon, I think it doesn't really matter, but laying on your stomach might be more comfortable. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
mrs_radcliffe answered Saturday March 12 2005, 7:10 am: Some people sleep differently i sleep on my stomach so its easyer and the blood flows down on the pad
and sometimes i sleep on my right or left side with my legs curled up
inlovewifnoone answered Saturday March 12 2005, 5:34 am: Well it all depends on whats comfortable for you, I like to sleep on my side or my stomach while im on my period. Mainly my stomach cuz it makes it ALOT easier to handle your cramps because of the pressure...But it mainly depends on the way your comfortable like one of my friends has to sleep with a pillow under her butt while she is on her period and i know alot of people who sleep dofferent ways to accomidate their period. HyperactiveMiss answered Saturday March 12 2005, 3:31 am: Well, I've never used tampons myself, so I wouldn't know...but if you want to sleep in any position, you can use those. If you're wearing pads, you should wear one of those overnight, heavy duty, long ones. Make sure there is a lot of it covering the back of your underwear, so it doesn't leak through when you sleep at night. If you want to be safe, put an old cloth over your bed sheet. So to answer your question, you can sleep on any position you'd like if you wear a long pad, except for on your stomach...that's not a good position because of leakage...lol. I really don't think any position is going to mattter. It flows out naturally right? Well more when standing but, I sleep on my stomach and I don't get any problems. I actually find it comfortable not sleeping on my lower back pains. LOL
Hoped I helped :)
