Well I straigten my hair everyday because otherwise my hair looks disgusting. My hair has a lot of static whenever I get done straitening it and I even put lotion in it sometimes since my sisters do it and they dont have any static. Is there anything I could do or a product could do for me? Any suggestions?

you part your hair like you like it, after you are done straightning it, and brush/comb it out.
then you take your hair spray and spray it on the part, then take the can, and run it down the sides, not all the way down, but enough, {it'll make since when you do it} and then the hair spray holds the hairs in place {i do this every day i wear my hair down (thats offten)} and you just use the can to smooth down the hairs and make the hair spray stick to them. the can works because it wont stick to the can.

What you can do though is to take dryer sheets, like what others have mentioned, and then just pat them over your hair and it will get rid of the static.

Try taking a shower and then when you blow dry your hair put "straighten gel" in it that you can find in any pharmacy..its a hot pink gel and doesnt make your hair weird or anything... and then straighten it.. any other straightening tips that u need then just ask me.. im the queen of hair! lol

Missa8305 answered Wednesday March 9 2005, 3:56 pm: I have naturally straight hair, but it's very fine and is prone to static. When I was younger my mom showed me this really cool trick. It sounds weird, but here is what you do....You know those dryer sheets? The ones you put in the laundry? Take one of those and rub it across your hair. I know it sounds funny, but it works. Seriously. [ Missa8305's advice column | Ask Missa8305 A Question ]
