short story ideas
I have a short story outline due on thursday and I am FRESH out of ideas! If anybody has ANY ideas whatsoever, please tell me! Even if you only have an idea for a scene, I can make something of it. Please just give me any ideas that come to your mind.
By the way, I like stories in which unusual things happen

Write a story about your life but change the names, the scene, and the events to make them weirder or more exciting, or even cool sounding names will get your brain thinking of something.

dude.. i got it..
write about a boring town in a boring suburb with boring people and boring idle gossip. take it to the next level. a weird guy comes to town and totally runs amuck on their normal monotony.
and he falls in love with the daughter of the family who he is staying with and.. he can sculpt..
and whild sculpting he makes snow
and he kills that one guy.
oh wait..
i think this is the plot for edward scissorhands..

what about a clone.. who is after someone's life...

but.. your teacher won't know..
and include time travel.

Do you know what a werewolf centaur is? If not then I will briefly explain. They are centaurs that have been bitten or scratched by a werewolf, blah blah blah. Anyways, it turns their bodies into wolf bodies instead of horse and makes their canine teeth pointed. They are then rejected by their clan and have to roam. Make a small segment from this?

make a short story outline over a super hero named pajako and he saves the town from a giant taco that threatens to eat all the remaining trees and then it grows arms and starts eating people and then it crushes the hero and everyone dies the end

try having where this guy finds his girl dead on the kitchen table. make a whole story bout him finding the killer, and later finding out the killer was his girl's dad's ex wife that used to be the guy's ex girlfriend. hope i helped and that you got that!

Can you retell a familiar story? Like set Red Riding Hood in modern-day Chicago or Rapunzel in a Nazi concentration camp?

Hmm I know how it is to be stumped and its no fun!
What if someone from the past/future came to you with a problem or even just to take you into the past or future. That would be a pretty cool story ..use your immagination and i bet it would be excellent.
How about you write about a vacation where you and your family find an old amusement park which is haunted..or all the people are zombies..etc.
You could write a story that God or and angel or something came to you in your dream and took you on a journey maybe to your past..or into a certain time period. yes its a different approach..like a religious approach..but its different.
What if you write astory where all the adults in the world are suddenly unable to function..and the kids run the world.
What if a car crashes through this one person's house..and the person discovers nobody was in the car. Then throughout the story the guy has all these weird creepy things happening..then at the end you make it where he was really doing these things himself all along or maybe he was in a mental home.
WHat if you write a story about like science fiction. Maybe have it where man finally is able to go so far in space he reaches another galaxy and finds more humans/aliens whatever you like. (im not sure if your into science fiction)
Remember all those "citings of UFOS?' maybe make your main character one of the people who cited it..then something happens where he's captured by the CIA and take the story into the secretness of the government.
How bout a story where technology corrupts the human race and takes over? Like vacuums ..robots..etc. come to life! It could be like a creepy horror story.
How about a story about a little girl who continually shows up at this one person's house..and ends up killing him..etc. she could end up being a ghost.
What about a story about how scientists came up with a way to have it where no humans ever die. The world becomes so overpopulated..that the world spirals out of control and people start killing each other.
These were off the top of my head..i hope oyou like a couple of them..write to my inbox if you would like more..i could probably think of some better ones for later.

5 random unusual things/occurrences:
* you wake up one morning and discover that you can see an additional *something* (x-ray vision, in the dark via heat like D&D elves, 5 min into the future, if someone is lying, etc)
* your outside walking through the woods and when you get to a creek you've seen a million times before, you discover that it's gotten larger, and more beautiful, and you would swear that something large and white was moving in the brush, but when you investigate, all you see is odd prints.
* you're about to have your 10th birthday, and you've lived your whole life on a space ship taking a colony of people to a brand new planet. It turns out that the day your supposed to land the ship on the new planet is your birthday.
* tell the story of your day from the point of view of your shoes. or maybe their magical shoes that give you some special power.
* your a nasa scientist and you've just discovered a transmission from an alien life form
