mysticpixie05 answered Sunday February 27 2005, 9:44 pm: i had mono over the summer and it is horrible. yes it has symptoms. some of them include:
- being tired all the time
- sore throat
- swollen tonsils
- white patches/spots on your tonsils
- cant eat or drink because you cant swallow anything
- lack of energy
those are pretty much the basics. if you think you have mono, get yourself to a doctor asap. it is very serious and not seeking medical attention can make it worse. trust me. i went right away and they didnt know it was mono so i just got to the point were i was going to be admitted to the hospital. its not fun at all. its suck real bad. but if you need to know anything else, drop ine in my inbox. SouthernBarbieGirl answered Sunday February 27 2005, 8:34 pm: I had mono in 6th grade and it feels a lot like a cold or the flu. Your very weak, tired, coughing, sore throat, just normal flu symtoms. You can get it from kissing, drinking after someone who's had it, or passing salvia in anyway. The best thing to do is head to the doctor. He can do a real quick check and let you know in about 5 minutes if you have mono or just a plain old cold. Good Luck! [ SouthernBarbieGirl's advice column | Ask SouthernBarbieGirl A Question ]

bUtTeRfLiEs answered Sunday February 27 2005, 4:27 am: Yes, mono does have symptoms. Some common ones are: being tired a lot/stressed, coughing/soar throat, and unexplained weight loss.
You should talk to a parent or doctor about this to see if you have it. Mono is also known as "the kissing disease." You can get it from eating after someone, drinking after someone, and of course, from kissing someone.
XxLiiLSiiNgErXX answered Sunday February 27 2005, 4:18 am: well the first thing is that you get really tired ALL the time and you are always sleeping or always tired and have no energy what so ever..
But when I had it I had that and I had a really bad soar throat to where my glands were so swollen that I couldnt even swallow... also you feel kinda sick all the time and your immune system is really low. Go to your doctor and they will refer you to the hospital to get some blood work.. believe me its worth it... hope I helped!

ImHere4u answered Sunday February 27 2005, 4:13 am: You actually don't get a fever from mono.. You do get soar throats though, and you're tired all the time. All you want to do is sleep. It'll keep you out of school for some time as well. Also, if you were either kissing or sharing drkins with someone a few months ago then there's a high chance that it's mono you have. It does take months to get.
