Growing Marks

Question Posted Tuesday February 22 2005, 3:39 pm

I have growing marks or stretch marks on my upper theighs. I've tried excersising that area but I dont know a whole lot of upper theigh/butt excersises. Does anyone know of any that work?

Also, if anyone knows of anything that can either get rid of competely or at least hide the stretch marks I have now. I've heard to use a self tanner but that only made my skin dark and the marks lighter.

Someone help? I promise to rate high.

Signed,
Stretch.

Certain exercises will not get rid of stretch marks, sorry. Sadly nothing will. There are things like vitamin e that will prevent them from coming or getting bad, but there is really nothing you can do to get rid of them. If they're from gaining weight that you can lose, they'll go away when you lose the weight, because your skin will return back to its original form. But if they're from just growing, they're going to be there. There is make-up you can buy that will cover it up, it even comes in water-proof, it works quite well. It's sold at Eckards, Walgreens, and CVS drugstores. It's called SkinBalm and it's quite cheap.

Hey okay try doing a lot of running. That always helps the legs. Wear baggy sweats to help hide it temporarily. Try sitting on a chair kick your leg out and pull it up. Put leg weights on your thighs. This will probably help. Good luck and donyt worry!

I think that maybe the stretch marks could have been from you LOOSING wieght. It isn't always because you gain weight. You could try rubbing lotion/cream on it. They sometimes have special creams to reduce visibility. Besta Luck

Try doing some sqauts and longues, possible holding weights. Also, vitamin E oil will help with the stretch marks, it wont make them go away completely (they will probably never go away completely), but it will help. Sadly, almost everyone gets stretch marks unless you are disgustingly underweight, i know i have them and a few of my friends have them and they are all average size. I hope this helps!

Well, stretch marks are just part of growing up, they will go away eventually. You can't really get rid of them unless you get surgery or something. Just put lotions on them to make them lighter.
-Hope I helped!-

There are diiferent creams you can buy in stores. Vitamin E is an example. If that doesnt fade your stretch marks, then go and talk to your doctor and see if he or she will prescibe somethin for you. Hope my advice helps!

For exercises that will help tone your upper thighs and butt are squats, lunges, running in place, and just plain old running or jogging on a treadmill. Click on this link to see more exercises: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location).

To get rid of these growing/stretch marks, you can use Vitamin E cream. I was going to mention that you could use cocoa butter, but that doesn't work for you. If Vitamin E cream doesn't work, the only way to get rid of these marks are by waiting until they fade when you get older.

Hope I helped :)
