Question Posted Thursday February 10 2005, 6:11 pm
Okay, tomorrow we are having a Valentine's dance. There is this guy I really like, and he is going. Both of us are single, and he talks to me regularly. But tomorrow at the dance, I want to look good. I have no clue what to wear, or how to do my makeup. Im not real big on skirts, and I want to be comfortable.
Also, I have kind of pale skin, and REALLY light brown hair w/ highlights. Any ideas? Thank you!
ballerina04 answered Thursday February 10 2005, 9:04 pm: hey i have a dance tomorrow too! and i'm in the exact same situation! weird...
anyways. Try just a nice pair of jeans and a comfortable shirt. Try red or pink, especially because its a Valentine's dance. For your makeup, do something sparkly. Don't overdo it, just some on your eyelids, and a little on the outside corners of your eyes. Also put on some clear shiny lipgloss. For your hair, do something completely opposite than you usually do. As for dancing, just move your body to the beat and watch what others are doing. It'll help give you ideas.
If you need anything else, just send me a message or IM me! ♥Kristen [ ballerina04's advice column | Ask ballerina04 A Question ]
KaYlA1213 answered Thursday February 10 2005, 8:29 pm: I have light brown hair and pale skin, too. I am so sure that a pink shirt would look really cute on you. Also, for the bottoms, a skirt is not needed to look cute, just wear a cute pair of jeans (if you have a cute faded pair that would look really good!) And for the make up, if you're into wearing foundation, put some on lightly, and with or without foundation, wear a little powder, a little blush, and some pink eye shadow. and you're all set! For the dancing, just hang around with your (girl) friends at first, and soon you will be dancing just like them, and who knows, you all could have made up your own dances by the end of the night! confusedbabii answered Thursday February 10 2005, 8:21 pm: if you cant do makeup, have a friend help you. try eyeliner with a light shade of whatever color top you are wearing and most definitely clear or light pink lip gloss. try to straighten your hair and as for clothes...a skirt would be great because guys like to look at a girls legs. if you really don't want to wear a skirt,go for really tight but cute jeans with a red or pink shirt. good luck & hope i helped! and remember, confidence is the key!!!!
iHeartU4eva answered Thursday February 10 2005, 7:55 pm: My friend must be twins with you!!!! well she needed help and i think i could help you! you should wear a hot pink or light pink shirt. i am sure pinks will look good on you. but don't go with kaki bottoms eaither black (hott!) or jeans(hott 2!) black will b better but if it comes to worse then jeans will work. your makeup needs to match your shirt so pink will work, brownser, blush, masscara (black!), and lip gloss. and if u don't have any pink shirts then go with red or blue and then for you eyeshadow stick with the pinks! i hope you rate me high and my advice works!
p.s. don't look like you tried to hard to look good! [ iHeartU4eva's advice column | Ask iHeartU4eva A Question ]
pixiechix834 answered Thursday February 10 2005, 7:35 pm: for your outfit you don't wanna look like you tried to hard to look good.if u don't want to wear a skirt then wear your sexiest jeans.wear a hott top like a halter or a tube top.wear hoop earings and your hair up in a ponytail or scrunch it and wear it half up half down.dont wear anything you will get hot in because dances make you sweaty!!!for your makeup you should wear bronzer, mascara,a little blush, light pink or blue eyeshadow because it will go with your light skin.wear a light pink lipstick with lip gloss on top.also you should not wear too high heels so you don't trip!top of the outfit with icy cold bling bling,a silver necklace preferably with diamonds.dancing isn't that hard just don't be shy and shake what you mama gave you and you'll be fine! XxRockon answered Thursday February 10 2005, 6:38 pm: Ooh cool, a dance! Here's what i think you should do. Wear some tight comfortable jeans and a tight tank. But whatver you wear you want to me comfortable and be able to move around easlily. As for makeup, always going natural is best. A light pink with a darkish pink near your brow bone could look could look good with a little bit of black eyeliner on your lower eye and lots of mascara. Or you could do a color that compliments a color on your shirt that you are wearing..Don't match it exactly though cuz that doesn't always look good. As for tips on dancing..just go with the beat and do what feels right..don't be too stiff and just sway around but don't flail around wildly, lol. you'll find what feelss right to you when you hear the music. Karen answered Thursday February 10 2005, 6:31 pm: You can wear whatever you want to this dance and if you want to be comfortable, wear something that you like that would be alright to dance with. For your make up and hair, you should definitely straighten or scrunch it. Wear earth tone eyeshadow such as browns, blues, greens, etc. but make sure they aren't too dark, since you have pale skin. Wear black eyeliner and mascara too. Hope I helped :)

hiddenmeaning answered Thursday February 10 2005, 6:27 pm: why not wear dress pants if you don't like skirts. Tyr to keep netural colors, espically on your eyes. I have pale skin too, and I wear light and dark colors combined to ofset it. Like black pants with a white shirt. And the make up...try some pinkish shadow maybe. places like seventeen.com have some good tips sometimes. Or you could jsut experiment and see what happens. I hope it helps. kittyluvr1826 answered Thursday February 10 2005, 6:26 pm: I'm not sure if this is a formal dance or not which makes a big difference, but if it is, I suggest wearing red or green. Those colors usually look good on pale skin and brown hair (what I have). Red would be festive too. Wearing just a black skirt and like a red sweater, or a red dress, or even like jeans if it is a non-formal dance would work. Just pair them with a cute sweater. Hope i helped.. feel free to ask me any other questions...lyl ~Lexi [ kittyluvr1826's advice column | Ask kittyluvr1826 A Question ]
