I was invited to a black tie event for the first time my escort is wearing black and white so what should i wear im 5'5 132 pounds should i go with a short dress or long one please help.

I would go with a long dress that makes you look taller. Go to a formal dress store and just try on a bunch of stuff to see what you want in the style.
Black and white will go fine with anything. Be sure to tell him what color your dress is so that he can get matching or coordinating flowers (if that is appropriate for this event). I would consider getting him a small boutinere for his lapel in a lovely red rose or the color of your dress. Most of all use your manners, have fun, and dance often.

Short dresses look good but long dresses look much more elegant.
Make sure you match the dress to your skin tone and hair colour. If you are dark/olive/tanned skinned then go for a deep red or emerald green. These are the colours i wear and they really complement you.
If you have blonde hair I think that gold or chocolate satin look good!

I think you should go with a short dress because it would look good, since you are tall. If you think that you don't want to wear a short dress, than wear a long one. It doesn't matter; just wear what suits you. Hope I helped :)

if you're self concious about your legs or thighs, like if you think they look fat or large, then you should try wearing a long black dress. If you feel like you'll look really nice and sexy in a short black dress, then go wear that.
