brown23 answered Saturday January 29 2005, 2:08 pm: there might me something in the belt(the rubber part that spins at the bottom) this would cause it to over heat and smell awful. when this happens you must turn off the vacuum, lay it on its side, look at the bottom, and take out whatever is caught. Karen answered Saturday January 29 2005, 12:05 pm: When was the last time that someone changed the vacuum bag inside? Usually, that is the reason why you start to smell something gross when you vacuum. Just change the bag and it won't smell anymore. Hope I helped :)
