There are two conditions for this. If its on the internet, like you guys just suddenly stop talking, just say something weird like "monkeybutt" or tell him/her something funny. trust me it'll break the silence!! On the other hand, if it's in real life the solution is very obvious. Just FART! Lol, it'll make ur friends crack up and the silence will be BROKEN. I hope I helped.

Well if if the people you are with have a sense of humor then say something really funny or random. Try to start a conversation. I'm not really sure what else to say or do. Just be yourself!!

lol i get them all the timejust think of a conversation starter or a joke. Something to break the silence and the longer its silent the more awkward it feels so make sure u break it quick lol

Like others have said just make a joke out of it....I like to go "dun dun dun" or start poking the person next to me for no reason. Just do some thing completely random and if they say something like "why did you do that?" just say "Its too quiet".

sometimes just say somthing like 'whats the go with the silence?' and make a joke out of it. or you can just ask what the other person did on the weekend or something.

"How about dem Lakers eh?" hehehe just kidding. What I have always done in those moments (and I mean this completely serioulsy) is to say "Boy! Isnt this an awkward moment!" With the right tone and conviction you will get a laugh and that will be the end of the awkwardness.
