ok me and my boyfriend have been together for 5 months and weve knnown eachother for a year and we havent really done anything yet...i go to his house every wednesday and we are home all alone..and we just havent done anything...hes not the innocent boy i mean hes not a virgin and neither am i (only once) lol....but i dont knw...weve done handjobs, fingering etc..but not oral or intercourse....he says he doesnt want to rush me into anything because he loves and respects me and my body...im really ready though too and i think he is too...we are only 16...the only fear im having is PREGNANCY! what is the best type of condom, how can you prevent it to break, etc?

Sometimes when you have these questions in your head is a question whether or not your ready. It's cool that he doesn't want to rush you. But even using a condom doesn't guarantee anything. I know you've already heard your too young but even hormones don't have age limits. If you are going to be careful and if you need to decide, start researching different types of condoms. A lot of people just use certain kinds but may not know the percentage of risks in each kind. It is your job to look this up since it is your sex life.

well u can't stop pregnancy. and the best type would be trojan. but to stop the fear is have him put it on before he gets hard. then have him take it off before he cums. and that will minimize the risk tremendously. so hope i helped. but aren't u a little YOUNG?

Um, personally, I dont think you should be having sex until you think you can handle a baby, but any condom except the glow in the dark ones is good. It's not often that it breaks, and they only way you can prevent it is putting it on right ... you have to squeeze the tip of the condom to get the air out of it. lol. Have fun

Well, my husband hated condoms, but the best are still the oldest brand, Trojan. Personally, at the age of 16, I think the best birth control is NOT TO HAVE SEX. You are so lucky to have a boyfriend who respects you enough not to push you or rush you, so why feel obligated to try anything? If you are having the fear of pregnancy, then you are smarter than most teens. I know I sound like a fuddy-duddy (and I'm showing my age with that noun), but there are 'way too many teen moms and dads. Life totally changes when you become parents, so TAKE YOUR TIME. If you boyfriend doesn't mind, then you should, either.

Condoms: Look for an expiration date, an official mark signifying it's approved, and that spermicidal lubricant is used.
On indidivual packets, check for rubbing marks or anywhere the packet looks worn. Don't use it if in doubt. Squeeze the packet to make sure that it is airtight - a pocket of air should form. This shows that the packet has not been breached in any way.
When ripping the packet open, push the condom to one side before ripping.
Make sure you and your boyfriend know which way it needs to roll on - practice BEFORE having sex. It should roll smoothly down; if he accidentally puts the tip on backwards, that condom needs to be thrown away as the pre-cum can get you pregnant.
When the condom is rolled down the penis, the recepticle tip needs to be squeezed at the same time. There should be no air inside. A man ejaculates at about 30-40 mph, and that recepticle needs to catch sperm. If there's air in it, it will burst.
Only ever wear one condom at a time. Do not use a male and female condom at the same time. Only water based lubes are okay; if you have any oil, lotion, or other substances on your hands, WASH THEM before touching the condom.
When sex is done, your boyfriend needs to hold the condom's base when he pulls out. This will make sure he doesn't leave the condom in you.
Once you start having sex you need to start seeing a gyno, and you should talk to him/her about the possibility of using a second form of birth control.
Read all the instructions on the packet, be careful, and you'll be fine. There is a small failure rate with condoms, so be sure to use them correctly each and every time you have sex.

Trojans are fine esp when used with a spermicidal jelly. Birth control is also a viable option that you can get from your doctor- and b/c you're older and don't want your "mom" to know or what have you, you can always talk to your dr. in private about the subject.
He or she may tell your mom that you need the birth control to regulate your cycle (which is a good reason to be on birth control), and may refer you to a OBGYN for this. Your parent won't hesitate b/c the pills are being used for a medical reason and not for prevention of pregnancy. I know its deceptive but its sometimes better to deceive than to pay the costs of not doing something.

Trojan. There isn't any "good" condoms, because they all can break. Just don't buy the cheep ones. The only way you can get pregnant if he cums inside of you. If your way scared about getting pregnant (even with a condom on), just tell him to pull out before he goes off.

Lifestyles and trojan. Just don't but some off brand crappy kind because they will break and their probability of effectivness is lower. You could also go to planned parenthood, its cheaper than a gyno and private so you don't have to tell your mom, and buy birth control. That way you're being extra safe because who wants a baby at 16? I didn't.

the best, idk, trojan? dont buy cheap ones. to prevent it from breaking, keep checking if it hasn't broke every idk, few minutes, or at least right before he goes. the only way you can get pregnant is if sperm enters your vagina. so do it with a condom, thats your best choice. and if you guys think about being together longer and stuff like that, maybe you should look into birth control. have fun! xox
