I used to suck at reading, and i hated it, and now im pretty good. But im bad at reading alloud, because I want to go faster. But you should read with your parents or teacher out lout because then they can help you more, and dont worry- i was scared too- but they wont judge you. unmmm.. i forgot what i was going to say...oh yah! read things like out of a magazine, like little things like questions :dear sue:
my boyfriend broke up with me and all my friends say its because im too short, i really want him back, what should i do?
-signed confused-
Dear COnfused,
Ask him why he broke up with you, your friends may not be right! its okay to want to be......
see what im saying? those are always helpfuL!
and maybe even adds, like for target or walmart, i dont know where you live, but here we have those, like store adds, like Maybelline Mascara 2.99 each, all other maybelline make-up 30% off, excluding colorama.
those thigns are also good!
and my last thing (unless i think of something else) Is ALWAYS (besides if its required for school or something) READ WHAT YOU LIKE!
Im soo serious! I once read this book in 6th grade, and I really didn't like it! But Last year in 8th grade, i found a series that I really like! Its called the Mediator Series, its by Jenny Carroll, or Meg Cabbot, but she is the same person, she just sometimes uses different names. She is the author of the Princes Diaries Stories, and she also wrote another series i am totally into is call the 1-800-Where-R-you (or 1-800-where-are-u *i think its the first one) but just try to find a book that you enjoy! because then that makes reading more fun!
oh another series i like is the sammy keys series, its by urgh! i'll look for you! but it was an easy read for me (in a freshman (9th grade) almost 15) and I dont know how old you are, but i would say this book series was for 7th grade or 9th. But I dont know for sure!
Once i've found a good book that i like, i can read it in a day! Its awesome! its like a movie in your head! its fuN! because you can relate to the characters!(sometimes) and if the book is in a series , obviously, start with the first one,and if you like it read the next. If you ever are reading a book that you just dont like, maybe read a little more and see if it gets better, but dont continue to read a book that borrs but, because then you may not like reading. But if the book is required for school, obviously keep reading it! Sorry this is soo long, Im gonna get you some websites to look at, and then i'll be done!
