U might find this gross but i need help. Girls only
Ok im a 14 year old girl that needs help! i cant wear tampons. ever time i try to put one in it doesnt go in all the way or it hurts. I've tried many times and its just not happening. THis is the problem. Spring break is coming up and im going to florida with a bunch of ppl, Just my luck its the same week as my period. I mean i cant wear a pad with a bathing suit! nd plus there are gonna b tons of hot guys. I cant talk to my mom bout this kind of stuff bc i live with my dad and i never see my mom, and i dont have an older sister. pleaseeee help

ok my answer is a little wierd but mostly gross tampons are not made for soem peopple includig me i say go don't where a pad or anything else trust me no one will see n e thing plus the water helps stop up your flow just bring pad so when you change into regular clothes.

talk to your school nurse, or tell your dad that you need to talk to your doctor. if your doctor is a girl- great- if a guy- still great- but if you dont feel comfortable talking to him then talk to another doctor there or one of the nurses.
just tell your dad that you need to go to see your doctor, and if he askes why- say girl problems.

that same thing happened to me.. i couldnt get a tampon in for like 2 months.. you have to relax to get all nervous or your inside is gonna get tighter, making it harder for the tampon to go in.. try using slim fits with an aplicator..

try with plastic and light ones. there are directions in the box so try and follow those. dont owrry about it, you'll figure it out. good luck

What kind of tampons are you using? Make sure you're not getting super absorbancy ones, because those will be a lot harder. I'd recommend Playtex Slimfits... they're not the cheapest out there but they're very small.
Your school nurse might be a good person to talk to about this too.

You need to relax. Putting tampons in is difficult at first, which makes most people tense up as they get frustrated, which makes it next to impossible to put in, as all your muscles down below are tensed. They key is honestly to relax, take deep breaths, and if it isn't happening, try again in a few minutes rather than straight away. Also, smaller tampons designed for a lighter flow are easier to insert, as they are slimmer. Even if you have a heavy flow and these aren't that suitable for you it's easier if you get used to light absorbency tampons first, and, once you've got the hang of that, move up in sizes until you find the right absorbency for your flow. try putting your foot up on the tolite seat and putting them in there, their not sopossed to hurt at all, their sopossed to be comfortable, if you have more trouble talk to one of your best friends who wears them, they should help you, and plus you wont be embarassed to talk to them about these kinds of things. xox

Your probably putting them in wrong, because it's not suppose to hurt. Try reading the box, they always tell you what to do. You could also try putting the tampons in different angles, you'll get it!

okay.. well.. that probably means you arent putting it in right if it hurts.. omgahh!! okay.. one of mai friends got like.. a learning kit.. l0l.. like.. idn exactly what it was.. but she said it was like for teens and it told her how to do it or somethyng.. l0l.. so.. yeah.. get that so you dont have to ask anyone!

I know you said only girls to help on this but a good suggestion is to go to your family doctor, if he is a male then im sure he would have no problem getting a female nurse/doctor to show you a proper way to use a tampon.. Good Luck.
