I have sorta the same color and I use brown and it makes my eyes glow. It's really pretty. I use a dark brown eyeliner and put it on top of my eye, then I put gold eye shadow above it.

stick with the earthy tones. nothing like blue...i've tried it and it doesn't work with your skin tone. (you're the same as me) stick to browns, golds and mute greens.

i have hazel eyes and brown hair, and a nice light lavenderish color really does wonders. i even got a makeover at Victoria's Secret for kicks, and thats what she put on me. it does wonders really. blondes usually do better with pinks while us brunettes usually do better with lavender. oh and btw, id stay away from heavy eyeliner... it makes you look even darker, and nowadays light and fresh is the way to look. .:.curbsideprophet.:.

Neutrals are always nice for any eye color, but if you like to take chances, some greens are nice. Stay away from kelly's (yuk) and opt more for the olives and khaki's. These will give your hazel a warmer and almost greenish cast to them. Be careful about the dark liner around the eyes. Unless you have dark lashes, they can make you look almost sick, but then, some people like that look.
Blues are deadly on hazel eyes, but here's a thought. The heathery-lavendery (grayed/browned/ purples) are a nice change.
I have what they call feline eyes. That means my eyes are four-colored: they start at the pupil with an almost orange striated to yellow to green to a blue-gray rim. Talk about what colors to wear! Hope I was some help

Ok first, put on a light champagne (pinkish, silvery, gold) color on the bottom of your eyelid(close to your lashes) and right under you eyebrows. In the middle (the crease) sweep more of a darker coppery color.
Use a VERY dark brown eyeliner or a dark plum.
But most importantly is and eyelash curler! use it before your mascara the quickly put on several coats of very dark brown or black mascara.
I have hazel eyes. So I understand your pain :)
