My favorite pants have a hole in the crotch and the fabric is worn thin around the seam. How can i fix the hole without sewing. I have tried duct tape and safety pins already. Do you have any ideas?

I don't think they're the best solution to the problem (I think making a patch from similar fabric would be the best solution), but they don't require any sewing - just an iron and a pair of scissors to cut them to the right size (make sure the patch overlaps good - not thin - fabric by about/at-least 1/2 an inch on all sides). russianspy1234 answered Monday January 17 2005, 4:43 pm: you could try jsut wearing htem on occasions where you would need a whole in your pants ;-) sewing is really preatty easy, you could ask you mom to do it for you or something. [ russianspy1234's advice column | Ask russianspy1234 A Question ]
MFS answered Monday January 17 2005, 3:36 pm: Look... using tape is crap. Either learn to sew and fix the pants correctly, or throw them out. If these are your favorite pants, why wouldn't you want to try to fix them properly instead of some horrible hack-job with tape? [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]

hitler_the_goat answered Sunday January 16 2005, 11:46 pm: i'm afraid you will have to sew it. take a string, thread it through the needle, knot the ends together, turn the pants inside out, stitch, tie a knot after the lat one, and cut.
