thing for my friend

Question Posted Sunday January 16 2005, 5:07 pm

So Im really starting to develop a thing for a friend of mine, but it gets even worse than that. Im 18m shes 15f its not a huge difference but still. She also has a boyfriend putting me in an even tougher situation. Im also pretty sure she doesnt even think of me in anykind of romantic sense, even if she didnt have a bf. I really dont know what kind of advice to even ask for mostly im jsut venting and seeing what kind of comments/advice im gonna get.

Dear friend,
This is an interesting situation but I think I can help you. Alright since its a crush thing try to put it aside and see what happens with her bf situation. If you still cannot stop thinking about her then you need to tell her how you feel about her, (even if this involves kissing). If she doesn't feel the same way about you (atleast you put yourself out there to tell her how you felt). If after this she still wants you as a friend then stick with it for the time being. I hope this helps you. Don't be afraid to express yourself. rate me if you'd like

First off, she has a boyfriend so why no respect another man's property.
Second you already answered your own questions so you dont really give a fuck about what others will tell you.
Finally

wow that sound like a tough situation to be in man. are you sure she doenst think of you romantically? some times guys dont notice the hints. my suggestion is dont mess with the relationship, you say your only developing a thing so my suggestion is to focus on another girl, unless you really like her in which case wait for them to break up, wait a week or two, and go for it

Well, you're toying with the law, here. I wouldn't do anything until she turns 18. The law gives you a reason not to screw over her relationship with her boyfriend, and you won't make a fool of yourself attempting to tell her that you like her. But if you really like her alot, then I say screw the law.

Holy crap some people were really putting you down. I don't think you're a bad person for liking a girl younger than you...because it's really not a big age difference. You will have to wait until she is older...an adult. Unless you WANT TO face statutory rape charges.

But, even if she didn't have a boyfriend and she liked you back, you should definitely wait until she's 18. That will show you respect her enough. If you stop liking her by that time, then you've moved on...but if you don't then you're free to date her as long as she's not a minor.

Good luck with that.

sexiibrunette answered Sunday January 16 2005, 6:57 pm:
dont say anything about ur feelings for her until she ends her relationship with her current bf. you dont want to be a reason for a bad breakup. when they do breakup, an idea for telling her ur feelings for her could be sending her flowers with a love poem attached. then at the end of the poem write would you like to be my girlfriend and then have yes and no written and write to circle one.

I would totally stay friends until her relationship ends- unless she says something first. Maybe get a little closer as friends, take more interest in her life and even her boyfriend- that way she'll know you're there for her no matter what circumstance when they break up. And if they do call it quits, be even more of a friend for her- call her more but wait a while to try anything more. Hope everything works out!

That's not a huge age difference at all. Even though you think she doesn't like you, she could. You never know. Some people are just to shy to tell others they have feelings for her. I think you should just keep being there for her and such, so she'll always have you to lean on. Maybe if you keep being the sweet guy you are, she'll fall for her. Even though, don't try to break her and her boyfriend up. Just like her be happy for now and let her keep you as a friend.
