Hey, this morning I woke up and my eye was crusty. And then I looked in the mirror and it was all red. it still is. My mom said it might be "Pink Eye" but my eye doesn't itch, and it's not really goopy. Does anyone have any ideas on what this is?? I rate all 5's.
Karen answered Wednesday January 12 2005, 12:55 pm: You probably have pink eye. Don't go near anyone because it is contagious. I don't know how you could get rid of it because I have never had pink eye before. Hope I helped :)

MummuM answered Tuesday January 11 2005, 6:39 pm: You probably have some sort of eye infection. Get your mom to take you to the doctor so you know for sure. Don't put your hands around your eye; you don't want your eye getting more infection with the germs from your hands.

NEVERLETG00 answered Tuesday January 11 2005, 4:20 pm: i'm pretty sure its pink eye, you dont have to itch in order for it to be considered pink eye, but go to the doctors and he/she should tell you what to do, and give you antibodics or something to help get it away, and its contagious so dont go around your friends, stay home until its gone. xox [ NEVERLETG00's advice column | Ask NEVERLETG00 A Question ]
MFS answered Tuesday January 11 2005, 4:06 pm: "Pink Eye" is a term thrown around too lightly. Any infection in the eye that results in redness and swelling is termed "conjunctivitis", which is sometimes called Pink Eye. Technically, "pink eye" is a highly contagious bacterial (or is it viral? can't remember off hand, and who cares?) infection that spreads rapidly - it is very common in adolescents. "Pink eye" in small children is usually not pink eye at all, but bacterial infection that has spread to the eye. If your eye isn't itchy, but it is goopy and nasty, this is what you have - a secondary infection that has spread to your eye.
No matter how you look at it, you have an eye infection - usually just a small infection caused by a cold that has manifested in your eye or your tear duct. You'll likely need eye drops and/or a general antibiotic to get rid of it. Go see a doctor - really.
Make sure you wash your hands FREQUENTLY and use every ounce of willpower you have to avoid touching your eye. It is likely that the infection CAN be spread to others. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
