I have a question about dancing

Well. lol first off.. I KNOW cheerleading and dancing are completely different, but for cheerleading we over-stretch our muscles, wich makes kicks and jumps go higher...

Strech before and you could do pilates. You can take class at a gym or get a video or book. Pilates will improve your flexiblity.

im a dancer too!:-) in order to kick higher you need to work out your thighs and quads...*upper leg muscles* you can do squats, or lunges<--thats what i like to do best, or you can go to a gym to get more options...you can also run everyday<--i do that as well...start out at 1 mile if you can and increase that by 1/4 mile every week:) it also helps to stretch your splits! hope i was of some help:-)

stretch, but not fast or far
just gradually increase how far your streatch and hold it! in no time, you'll be doing the splits and kicking sky high! {worked for me!!}

advice_you_need answered Tuesday January 4 2005, 8:09 pm:
Why don't you just do a high-kick every 30 seconds for practice. Then, the 30 seconds you aren't kicking yourself brainless, you can learn some grammar and learn that apostrophes go where missing letters are. Such as the words "is not" that becomes "isn't." The " ' " replaces the "o."

im a dancer to. it depends, front, back, or side. to get a better front kick, try fornting on ur splits. strech a lot. try touching your toes. for a back kick, jus hold the bar and do a lot of back kicks. and as for side kicks, try doin a strattle and reaching ur toes. * Hope I Helped! * Feeback is Greatly Appreciated * Love Alwayz, Ali *

well i used to be in ballet- heres what you do- strech! ok if you sit down and put one leg out and go as far down then you do the other leg. then put both legs out in front of you. then you go stand against a wall with you legs about a foot away. bend your knees a little bit then reach down and hug them. then start unbending them. it'll be akward at first but youll get the hang of it! thatll stretch your muscles and then start trying your kick! hope i helped!
