pregnancy and wine I would 1st like to say that I have never drank through my pregnancy, I know that is very bad. But my question is If you are 40 weeks pregnant and have a small amount of wine like 2 oz. Will it harm the baby or make you go into labor?

I don't think it would harm the baby, since this is your first time and 2 oz is not that much. But if you did you drink a lot during your pregnancy, yes, the wine/alcohol would harm the baby! Hope I helped :)

well i dont think it will harm the baby dont stress yourself out hun the baby should be fine and your not going to go in labor early or anything, my sister drank wit my baby niece and my baby niece is fine and my sister was 8 1/2 months pregnant.. so i would think your baby wll be fine...*~DEZ~* ]
No way , My mother is a nurse, i know these things. I had a baby. As long as you didn't do it all through the pregnancy your fine don't worry about it. but don't drink any more okay you'll be just fine sweetie i promise. ]
I dont think it will... but if I were u I would check with a doctor right away...

isnt fourty weeks past due? ]
It probably wouldn't hurt the baby because you did it once and 2 oz is like a sip so don't worry about it, but if you are worried ask your doctor about it ]
no..

it depends on you and the baby .... some people can drink all they want and the baby's ok but someone can have a couple of sips of alcohol and they can go into labor or cause genital defects ]
Yes, it is safe to have a small drink of wine when you are 40 weeks pregnant, just do it once though, don't make it an everyday occurance.
When doctors do an amniocentesis (taking a sample of the amniotic fluid) they need to do so by sticking a needle into your abdomen, into your uterus.
By doing so, there is a small risk that the uterus will start contractions premature, so they need to give you a very mild painkiller. Most doctors, will actually have you drink a glass of wine.
But it is important to repeat, don't do it often, and keep it at a small amount, it won't do any damage that way. ]
i don't know if it would or not..i am still pretty younge (14) but i wouldn't try it...if you have any thoughts about it or any second thoughts about it..i wounldnt do it...i wouldn't risk it. hope i helped alittle =) ]
