But any ways just keep in mind that when you dont do something you are only pushing your self farther and farther away from your dreams I know its hard to get motivated believe me i should know... Being a senior with senioritis in January. But like I said keep you goals in mind and sooner or later youll get with it... Why not have your friends come over and work on homework with you, thats a great way to keep you self motivated… or set goals for your self such as for every hour that I spend on homework ill get to talk on the phone an extra half hour or something such as that. The more you want something the more you are going to be willing to do any thing to achieve it. Dont worry eventually youll become motivated and things will work out

dancindanger answered Sunday December 19 2004, 12:13 pm: Go to a study hall, or get together with friends. Then, you will be doing things in an environment where you're not working all alone. My friend had no reason to do any work, and his grades were dropping, but when he joined a study hall and got together with friends, he got back to A's and B's. However, in college, there may not be study halls or your best friends there every day for you. Cut off your possibilities to get side-tracked, and find ways you and a roommate can work together. Shortie8959 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 11:17 pm: I'm a sophomore and I do the same thing. But try thinking about your future and how you'll effect it if you don't do your hw. That's what I do. And since your friends are a motivation to you in school, maybe have them come over and you can do your hw together. Have a homework party! Lol. Lame, but ya know. Good luck!
Hope I helped!

gcfreakadoodle answered Saturday December 18 2004, 10:57 pm: I to know how it feels. I know by the time you get home you feel like theres nothing making you work because you have that free time and you'd rather hang with friends or watch t.v. Just think of your future ahead but dont push yourself to hard that you just give up. Maybe you could set a time each day for homework and have a snack during it. I know teachers say do homework in a quiet place but listen to the radio or put the t.v on its not going to hurt. [ gcfreakadoodle's advice column | Ask gcfreakadoodle A Question ]
PicTurPrfcT26 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 10:22 pm: The best thing to do is to think of your future. No matter what you want to do with your life it will invlove your education. ASk your parents to help you keep more on top of things, like reminding you of due dates, and maybe even bribing you for a little while. You can also ask your teachers for help also. Ask them if you can do a report on something you really enjoy, instead of the monthly book report. And even set limits for yourself. And have study groups more often, with friends who will have fun working with you, but not distract you. I hope you work this out. [ PicTurPrfcT26's advice column | Ask PicTurPrfcT26 A Question ]
Napalm350z answered Saturday December 18 2004, 10:02 pm: Just think about your life if you graduate, and think about your life if you don't graduate.
Graduate= nice car, probly a nice house.
Don't graduate= not so nice of a car, not so nice of an apartment. [ Napalm350z's advice column | Ask Napalm350z A Question ]
HuGzNKisSeZ69 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 7:53 pm: yes it's very important and it's even more important to be motivated because if you aren't then you'll have no will to do good. Think of college, what do you want to be when you grow up? You need to do well in school in order to get into a good college to get the job you want to get the money you want to get the *Life* you want to live. Just think about your future and what is going to happened if you don't excel and try your best. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what you should do. Berri answered Saturday December 18 2004, 6:58 pm: Yeah, I'm the same way. I'm a great student at school, but when I get home, it's like, "Okay! Enough! I'm not doing this!" And lately I've been thinking about getting a little study group together, because most of my friends are really good students too. And it seems like that would really help you also. I think a little peer pressure would be good in this situation.

ixjacquixi answered Saturday December 18 2004, 5:38 pm: How true you are! I'm just like you, a junior in high school with no motivation! I do the work in school but not at home. To solve this problem works wonders if your taking all the right classes. Classes that have your interest in help keep you focused. I take psychology and I love it so im making an A and thats why im an Advicist. When your sitting in class try to think about your future..if you want to be a doctor or a business woman how doing well in school will make it a reality. And not doing well will make you a burger flipper at Burger King. Motivation is a hard key to master especially how we all have certain needs. Think how doing good will reflect the outcome of your life. And how much more freedom you will have with you friends once you see an improvement.
