Okay..like you said, it could be the getting hit in the head thing with the volleyball. Also, do you wear your hair in a ponytail a lot, or wear it tightly back at all? If so that could be the cause believe it or not. You may have also bumped it in your sleep or done something that you weren't aware of at the time.. That happens to me. If the pain doesn't stop in a few days, you should definitely tell your mom.

I defenitly defenitly think you need to go to the docter. If it hurts when just your hair hits it thats really bad. I dont think you have a concusion like everyones saying because you would be sleeping and in the hospital. You might have some internal bleeding from being hit in the head with the ball...I suggest you go to the doctor/hospital AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! Good luck with everything...

It might of been from getting hit with the volleyball. Tell your mom about it & see what she says you should do.

it iwll eventually heal, but if its been a while since it has happened than your head might need some help from antibiotics! so if it lasts for a while go to the doc! --rachael

Michelley answered Monday December 13 2004, 7:43 pm:
Yeah...go to the doctor! It could just be a bump from getting hit in the head by smthn or maybe dry skin that you itched and its irritated but like I had to go get an MRI for my hand and this guy that was there got bite in the head by a borwn recluse spider and he mite have brain damage. Not that you'll have brain damage but you mighta gotten bit by a bug or smthn...just go get it looked @ or ask your mom if she can see anything. Most likely you just got hit in the head by the volleyball and it left a bump

Shlammy answered Monday December 13 2004, 7:35 pm:
If you itch your scalp a lot, you could have a rash or a red spot on your scalp. If you can part your hair directly on the spot, and look in a mirror, you can probably see it, and figure out if its in need of medical care.

MFS answered Monday December 13 2004, 7:34 pm:
I would hope you'd know if you had been hit, causing a concussion. I'm going to venture a guess that you have an ingrown hair on your head, or even a zit on your scalp - it happens. Other thoughts are that you cut your scalp - and various hair-care products can irritate such a gash, causing all sorts of fun pain. Have someone check it out - odds are you can take care of it easily, but at least have someone like your mom take a look.
