There was a kid in our school who was 14 and he died. Many Ppl knew him so our school has this big assembly, we didn't have to go to class for weeks, we didn't have to do any work or anything like that. 6 months after that when one of my Verry close friends died, it was like the teachers and schoolboard didn't even care. My mom told them my friend and i were upset that there was nothing for him..no assembly..and a ton of work. it wasnt fair.. They told my mom they weren't going to do anything because "nobody signed a sign we made" but 100's of kids signed it! its bullshit! and its not fair.. what can i say to the school people to make them at least have an optinal assembly!

Well first off..thats total bullshit..that is very mean thing to do. well if i were you..i would go straight to the princepal and complain..or if you have a student council..go there..just get your voice heard..and that your damn furious. if that doesnt work..protest against the school. i am very sorry about your friend. i kno how it feel! hope i helped! xoxo mauuhh

its really upsetting when someone gets one thing, but someone else doesn't get the same privillages. your schoolboard isn't the only thing that holding you and everyone else back. you have to be in school for a certain amount of days and hours. if your not you have to go to school instead of having your summer. i think that the schoolboard gave you to many days in the first place. i no that you and your friends are very sad, and i'm sure that this is not the things you want to here, but just tell you schoolboard what you feel from your heart and don't say that it isn't fair cause then it really isn't going to happen.

I'm really sorry about your friend. I actually saw some very similar things happen while I was in high school. It's really hurtful that schools place priority upon some student's lives more than others, especially for the friends and families of the students not fortunate enough to fall upon the school's good graces.
It's always harder to say no to people in person. Have a few parents request a meeting with the appropriate school officials. Their children should go with them to the meeting and should take along the banner you had people sign. It will be incredibly difficult for the administration to turn you down if you make your case right there in front of them.
If they still turn you down or refuse to meet with you, go above their heads to the people running the school district. It's totally unacceptable to give preferential treatment to certain students.

Im sorry you had to go through having one of your friends passing away. But if your schools going to have assemblies and everything for one person then they should for another. You and a bunch of your friends should go to your principle and say something about it. Be heard. And DON'T take no for an answer.

wow you have a crappy school! you should tell them that it's not fair that they give some guy the royal treatment. your friend is still a person, he deserves some recognizition (spellings off lol) but yeah.. you should get a petition going about the special treatment thing, and show them that. i'm not really sure what to say, but i hope it helps!
