sometimes, my armpits sweat for no apparent reason. I dont even have to run around..and they start to sweat...it leaves these horrible sweat marks underneath my armpits and i dont even want to raise my aroms up...does any one have any ideas on how to stop this??? Oh yeah, and they even sweat when it is cold out!!!
snowwalker69 answered Friday November 12 2004, 8:28 am: Hey there. It's completly normal for them to do that even when your not exercising. It's your body's natural cooling system. When it's cold out, your body could be hot, and so you sweat. There is an over the counter deodorment that you can get. Just talk to your doctor about it. Or you can see if they have some stuff on the shelf. [ snowwalker69's advice column | Ask snowwalker69 A Question ]
rainbowcherrie answered Thursday November 11 2004, 4:17 pm: You could try a strong anti persperiant. They are better than deodrant as they are designed to actually stop the sweat. Most of them don't prevent all of it but they reduce it by quite a lot. You might want to try out a few different brands to see which one suits you best. ICE11BLUE answered Wednesday November 10 2004, 7:13 pm: I just want to say that I know exactly what you mean, I hate that problem, it's horrible, uncomfortable, gross, and embarassing. I've had to change my shirt like 5 times a day before. All my shirts have armpit stains and yeah it's gross and wet. yuck. I hate it. I tried every deoderant on the shelf, nothing worked. It's like hyperhidrosis. So I just started using Certain Dri like a few days ago and it works for me, but the directions say to only put it on for bedtime. That wasn't good enough for me. I put it on for bedtime then I wait a few hours after my shower the next morning cuz you don't want to put it to newly shaved skin, then maybe reapply once more if you really have to later in the day, but yeah it definately decreases the sweating. Try it out. If that doesn't work then you'll need a prescription one. [ ICE11BLUE's advice column | Ask ICE11BLUE A Question ]
ask_the_becsturr answered Wednesday November 10 2004, 7:10 pm: i dont know how to stop it except fro getting a better antiperspirant like adidas for athletes which you can get at your local drugstore. as for preventing stains from showing wear thicker fabrics, darker colors, or spray an aerosol style hairspray on the inside of the shirt it creates a thin layer that repells water and most importantly sweat. S_C answered Wednesday November 10 2004, 6:30 pm: Ummm, well deoderant. If you mean deoderants don't work, then go to a doctor, and they can prescribe some really good stuff. That's about all I can think of for it. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
