That happened to me too and it was because of the deoderent i was using.. i was allergic to it. Try using a different deoderent. Dove is a good one that doesn't irritate your skin.

It is probably razor burn. Apply some soothing lotion on it and it should go away.

Karen answered Friday October 29 2004, 7:09 pm:
Just put some lotion on your underarms and that'll help the irration! Also, if you dry shave, that may be the problem! Always use shaving cream! If you shave your underarms everyday, that also may be the problem! Hope I helped :)

PerkyPeacock answered Friday October 29 2004, 5:56 pm:
it sounds like it could be razor burn. make sure when you shave it's moist, otherwise it wreaks havoc on your skin. try using a shaving cream... best of luck

I get that too. Its called razor burn. If the razor becomes dull it will give you razor burn. So make sure to change your blade often!!
Hope I helped :) xo0x

let hot water run on your skin before you shave. make sure you put lotion on like at night or whenever. and try Ban Beautifully Smooth deodorant. it helps with the razor burn.

Sometimes I have that same problem: Razor burn. Make sure that you later up your underarms really well, and that you're using a sharp razor. Shave against the hairs (Usually going up). Try putting baby powder or soothing lotion or deodorant on your underarms when you're all through! =)

MFS answered Friday October 29 2004, 5:30 pm:
Things to consider:

Shave less often if irritation is persistent.
Use moisturizer after shaving to lessen irritation.
Try an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to reduce the inflammation.
Try a different shaving technique (blade vs. electric)
Try a different brand of razor (the metal used in the blades can be tied to irritation, based on the materials used - look for more "hypoallergenic" products)
Have you changed deodorants lately? Are you using an antipersperant? Those can aggrivate any irritation you're getting from shaving.
If all else fails, ask your doctor if they think it is worth it to see a dermatologist about it - I highly doubt you'll need to do this, though.

Hopefully something from my rambling will help you. Good luck.
