ICE11BLUE answered Friday October 22 2004, 10:08 pm: If he is in the best possible hospital like you said he was, he is getting the best care possible, they know what they are doing over there, they are going to make things okay to the best of their abilities. Pray also to give these doctors the know how and the strength and you can be sure he's in good hands. Keep us updated. [ ICE11BLUE's advice column | Ask ICE11BLUE A Question ]

kristen22 answered Friday October 22 2004, 5:17 pm: The fact that you would think they would take someone's brain out...run a test on it and then stick it back in is a scarey thought. [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]

MFS answered Friday October 22 2004, 1:22 pm: If they're running a diagnostic, many of those tests are routine analysis. It is too easy to want to read more into it, but without knowing the standard procedure for massive head trauma, which I'm going to guess that no one here is familiar with, we can't really say. I mean, there's obviously a chance that he'll recover, but suffer some sort of brain damage - at this stage it is hard to tell. This test they are running might be to assess that. To me, it still sounds like they have high hopes that he will recover - the problem is that you just cannot tell to what degree he'll recover, or how long that recovery will take. Sadly, it means that you are stuck sitting and waiting and hoping. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
