being a teenager is REALLY tough.. especially now a days with all the drama going on.. for me i listen to music... corny i know but really it works for me.. you just need to find something that relaxes you.. like reading or writing or hanging out with friend.. music.. drawing.. etc.. a hobby i guess you could say. as for your sleeping habits.. umm.. pace yourself.. if you wnt to get back to that 9:30 time then like for 3 nights or so sleep at like 11.. and then 10:30.. you get what i mean? the problem is if you get into the 11 to much then your body will naturally feel like that is your real sleeping time.. and when you sleep at like 9 or something then it'll feel like you slept too much or something.. the basic mesage im sending out is that to get your sleep patterns back will take alot of effort.. becuase for a few days you will feel like crap.. like really tired or exhausted (it's onl b/c your body is trying to get use to what it's being told to do). only sleep in your bed.. dont lay on it or do hmwk on it or something b/c you want your mind to associate your bed to sleeping and nothing more. hope i helped

you need more sleep. do your homework as soon as you get home from school. that way you won't have to do it later. resist things that might get in the way of you sleeping. put a blanket over the TV so you wont be watching it. don't go on the computer or watch TV becuase they stimulate your brain or something and make it harder for you to sleep. if you need anything else at all, come talk to me. i'm the same way

My thoughts:

Try getting more sleep. Yeah, sounds really dumb, doesn't it? See if you can't get yourself to get an extra half-hour to an hour of sleep a night. See what that does for you. Also, take an afternoon nap right after school if you are able. Even 15-20 nap might do you wonders.

Kill caffeine from your diet. Remove caffinated drinks, reduce the amount of chocolate you eat, etc. In return, drink more water. People who finally get over caffeine are usually stunned to see just how much MORE energy then can have when they are no longer dependent on it.

Get more physical activity on a regular basis. Routine exercise, jogging, treadmill, biking, whatever - but do it on a fairly regular basis. Exercising will actually help you have more energy and has been found as an easy way to beat depression - many clinically depressed people are put on exercise programs in addition to any medications. Physical activity is not only good for the body, but it is good for the mind. Well worth looking into.
