MoonFisher answered Friday October 15 2004, 3:33 pm: Signs and symptoms of pregnancy do not normally show up until after you have missed your period. You will just need to wait and see if Aunt Flow shows up or not. In the future, always use spermicidal condoms and you won't have to worry about it. I used them for 6 years with my husband and we never got pregnant. First month we stopped using them BAM pregnant! They are very effective. Be safe and take care of yourself. hailebop answered Friday October 15 2004, 12:27 pm: The most obvious sign would be a skipped period. I've never been pregnant, so I can't answer from experience, but my mother said the first thing that really struck her as being different was that her sense of smell became really exaggerated.
These are not really reliable indicators, though. Stress can and frequently does make your period late, and it's hard to tell whether that strange queasy feeling you had is a) stress b) just a bug or c) actually morning sickness. The only way to know for sure is a pregnancy test. It's worth it for the peace of mind, I promise. [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]
pinklemonadestand answered Friday October 15 2004, 12:01 pm: You will have morning sickness and tired all the time.... just go to your nearest store and buy a pregnancy test and you will find out for sure. But wait a week or two. You can also get checked out and find out that way!
MFS answered Friday October 15 2004, 11:05 am: "morning" sickness - nausea that can last all day
loss of energy
heartburn
forgetfulness / ditzyness (the hormones released during pregnancy really do cause this)
random, unusual pains in the abdoment
change in appetite
foods suddenly taste different

But all that said, if you suspect it, go buy a pregnancy test, pee on the stick, and see what it tells you. These tests cannot give a false positive - if it comes out positive, then you ARE pregnant. These tests CAN give a false negative - if there aren't enough of the hormone in your system yet, it might not register on the test. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
