cant sleep

i have problems sleeping at night...i always imagine that somethings in my room or someones trying to break in and i feel really uncomfortable. also, when i blow dry my hair, sometimes i freak out because i think of someone on the news that went missing or was murdered and i feel like theyre standing right behind me haunting me..also at midnight, or late, when im walking down the hall, i always run just in case someone is follwing me...whats wrong with me and what should i do

the same thing happened to me just watch funnie movies no scary movies or the news for a while that will keep it off your mind be sure to tell your friends not to talk about that stuff and stay home in your room on halloween

I have the same problem. Most people do. Its just paranoia. What u can do is think of a song or something that makes u really happy. Good Luck and fight your fears.

you have a active imagination and thats ok .... but if your scared at night thats not a good thing . you should feel safe in your house . You should do something that relaxes you before you go to bed like reading or having a glass of milk . I used to be scared of things like that and do the same exact thing your doing .

I have no idea, but I've been going through the same thing. I share a room with my sister, and last night she was already asleep, I was the only one in the house awake, and I was downstairs. Well there is this really creepy painting that has always been in my room, even when I didn't share one (because it was given to me from a friend of my mom's who painted it) and anyways, no matter where you hang it, the 2 kids in it seem to always be staring. It creeps me out. But whenever I'm home alone, or eveybody is asleep, I get paranoid. It's so weird. I think it's natural, a lot of people go through it, so I hear. But if it's really bothering you, then talk to a school conciler, or a parent, or a therapist. I think there are some anxiety medications that you can take, but they have to be prescribed. I also feel like people are following me a lot. Whenever I go on a walk around the neighborhood, I have a CD player, and I'm so creeped out, that I have my student ID, and a pocket knife in my pocket, that way I can defend myself, and if I die, I'll have identification on me. But nobody would kill me in my neighborhood, and I know that because my dad is president of the board of association, and everybody knows me, it's just paranoia. So if it's really bothering you, talk to somebody.

Sorry, I know I kind of went off track telling you my 'story' but I just felt like proving to you that others feel that way, and what better proof is there than a story? Well, hope this helped some, and wasn't too confusing.

i have the same problem! so when i blow dry my hair i like look all around..hehe.. but yeah i just turn on the tv or blow dry my hair while like my sisters or rents are around! and for the sleeping part just sleep with the tv on or radio! thats what i do! hope i helped!

it sounds like your a bit paranoid to me. maybe you should talk to a therapist to see why you're like that. are you afraid of ghosts? cuz if you are then you should try sleeping with a night light ( yea i know it sounds stupid) maybe that will work.

you should see a therapist... they'll help you overcome ur fear... in the meantime take benedryl... doctors recommend takin benedryl if you have problems fallin asleep... try not to think about all that bad stuff... think of happy thoughts... or think about what u are going to wear... what you have to do throughout the day etc...

I used to have that problem. Try not to give yourself the opportunity to think about such things. For instance, try sleeping to music or a comedy as opposed to silence. There's nothing wrong with you.

Nope, there's nothing wrong with you! Everyone usually goes through what you are going through! What I would do is maybe put a night light on so you can see your room at night? Trust me, some teenagers still use them lol! Also, try not to watch the news that much during the night or whenever and you will not be freaked out that much! Hope I helped :)
