my friends.... braces... retainer
my friend got her braces off like 3 months ago and she never wears her retainer and shes like well its not like there gonna make me get braces again or something. has anyone ever had to GET THEM AGAIN or know someone who had to get them again? thanx

hey babe...yeah i just got my braces off today hehe, well yeah she deffinitly HAS to wear them it has happened to a handful of friends, they didn't want to wear the retainer and now there teeth are back to normal, she deffinitly doesn't want to go back and throw away all that time she spent with them because she will, so tell her that!!

Yes, I have known a few people that have had to get them like twice, and one got them three times. It crazii! Tell her to wear her retainer, it is for the best. A few of mii friends have retainers, and they really are not that bad. Good luck!

yes, if you dont wear your retainer it is possible to have to get braces again. i had a friend who never whore hers and she had to get them again. So, anything could happen

yes... if u dont wear ur retainer ur teeth will move baQ into place... its happened to a lot of my friends... many of them have gotten braces again... she should wear her retainer all the time for a yr... & once in a while after that... they give it to u for a purpose...

Hey, I got my braces on in 5th grade and then got them taken off a year and a half later in 6th grade. Trust me, your friends teeth will move back and it sucks!! Maybe the reason why she doesn't wanna wear her retainer is because she sounds like a retard talking? I'm not calling your friend a retard it's just that the first few weeks of getting your retainer, you cannot pronounce "S's" correctly and you talk retardly lol. Ok, here's a little short story of what happened to me lol. My retainer broke like that metal piece that goes under your tooth to hold the retainer in place and now all the teeth on my left side of my mouth, your right, is messed up and my orthodontist said he would fix it but now he can't. My parents spent over $5,000 all together and now it all went down the drain. I just have to wear my retainer to bed until January of 2005. Ok, just tell your friend that she has to wear her retainer or she's gonna end up like me later in life. Hope I helped, sorry if I got carried away, telling my story about my braces/retainer life lol!! :)

I had to get braces again...I hate it! I got them in 3rd to 6th and then I got them on again, but Im getting them off in a week or two and then a retainer for 3 months. Im glad to get them off!

If she doesn't wear hey retainer than they will make her get them again, well not make her but they are gonna say that she needs to.

yes, if you dont wear your retainer after you get braces off, then your teen might shift again and braces might be needed. hope i helped.

I have braces, and the goal of having braces is to get your teeth to a 90 to 95 degree angle. As long as your friend doesn't suck her thumb or something like that, she won't need them again. Not to mention that braces cost about $3000, and I don't think her parents would want to pay all that again just to fix some minor problems that would come from not wearing a retainer.
