orphans answered Saturday October 9 2004, 10:51 am: You don't. You just have to let it grow, and get it trimmed every once and a while to kill split ends. Whatever you do, DO NOT believe people who say "If you cut your hair, it will grow faster." No, sorry. If you cut your hair, it makes it shorter! [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
SoNuLiCiOuSsS answered Tuesday October 5 2004, 4:23 pm: Ive taken cosmetology... & sorry to say there really isnt any way to make ur hair grow fast... ur hair grows according to what stage it is in... it grows fast if its in the growing stage... & not so fast if its in the resting stage... yes believe it or not there are stages... the only way that ur hair will grow faster is if u have a cold or flu... what u can try doing is have sum1 massage almond oil into ur scalp... it will improve circulation & ur hair will grow out healthier... it may grow out faster... it may not... ooo & that whole pony tail stuff... ur hair doesnt grow faster when u put it in a pony tail... it just seems that way cuz u shed less hair since its tied up... trust me i learned that in cosmetology... XxSXyKaYlYnXx answered Monday October 4 2004, 9:46 pm: hey! well they have products that say that it will make your hair grow faster but i doubt that works! you can try! but your best bet would be to get your dead ends cut!! this will trim off all your dead ends that arent even growing and now your hair will be healthier and grow faster! basketballgal answered Monday October 4 2004, 9:14 pm: There is no way to healthily make it grow. however I do know a trick to make it look longer when you wear it in a ponytail!
1.Pull up half of your hair in a high pony tail. Secure with hairband.
2.Pull up the other half of your hair in a pony tail directly under the first one. secure with hair band.
S_C answered Monday October 4 2004, 9:07 pm: Okay, this is what my hair dresser/styalist told me, If you trim the ends, even just a little bit, it'll grow. If the ends are dead and just stay there, then it'll take longer to grow out, but if you trim, it'll be MUCH MUCH faster [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
MFS answered Monday October 4 2004, 8:25 pm: the short answer: you can't.
Everyone's hair grows at its own pace. Stress can cause hair and fingernails to grow faster.
Also, not all your hair grows all the time - hair follicles take turns growing - so what is actively growing right now will be dormant in a while, and other follicles will be growing. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
