copying..?
I'm a pretty good student, usually do all my homework and don't cheat or anything. Most of the time, people are always asking to copy my homework and since I'm nice and want to make friends, I let them. I can't say I don't have it when its out on my desk and anyone can see it. I always get scared the teacher is going to see I'm letting someone copy and I'll get in trouble! What should I say next time it happens? I don't want to come off as mean or anything, but I'm sick of working for my grades when someone can just copy and get it easy!

just tell them not to copy it. tell them you think theyre all wrong. tell them you dont want to get in trouble. tell them anything like that. just say u dont wanna get in trouble, or u dont wanna get caught, or u did it in a rush and theyre all wrong, and in the end if it doesnt work, keep your homework in a binder of folder so they cant see it, therefore, they dont know you have it :)

well, that happens 2 me all the time, but sometimes I am the one that is doing the coping! So, I know how both ppl feel. The 1 that does the work and let ppl copy is like hurry hurry here comes the teacher...hope I don't get in trouble...stuff like that. The other is thinking..omg I luv her/him, they r a life savor! So, I think u should say ok, but when I say teacher I need it back...FAST...b-c I don't want 2 get in trouble. Well, I hope I have helped!

It's no fun to be in your position. Of course you want people to like you and think you're cool, but why should you be the one doing all the work while everyone else just rides your coat tails? You are certainly justified in wanting to put an end to it. I'm not usually one to promote lies or manipulation, but teenage life can be so dang complicated and maybe a little white lie with no malicious intent wouldn't be a bad idea in this situation.
So, when people ask for your work, you could tell them that one of your teachers pulled you aside and told you that they know other students are copying your work and threatened you with disciplinary action if you continue to allow it. Then you can say that it freaked you out so much that you are not willing to take that risk anymore. I'm sure that the lazy people will try to make you feel like it's no big deal and you won't get caught, but you can say you pretty much already did get caught and used up your "get out of jail free card" and no way do you want to push your luck any further. It should work and then you don't have to feel like a "goody two shoes".
If you don't feel like you can pull it off by yourself, you could go to one of your teachers in confidence and explain your plan and ask if they will back you up. However, I would only suggest this if you have a particularly cool teacher, because if you approach the wrong kind of teacher, he or she could demand to know what students have been copying your work. If you go this route, I would be careful not to actually admit that any copying has actually happened and just speak with them in hypotheticals. Best of luck to you.

I always let people copy, its ok, good way to make friends, if you have a problem with it, then just tell them you have a problem with it and if they dont like you after that then their definatally not good enough to be your friends

No. Don't keep letting people copy your work. You said you were sick of people taking your grades that you work to get, so dont' let them. People always used to ask for my work too, and I let them copy at the beginning, and then began to feel like you do, and started saying "you can't copy, but I'll help you if you want." Copying won't help them anyway, it's not helping them understand what you're doing in class, and what if they dont' do their work, and want to copy from you, and you're not there that day? Then they'll not have their work anyway.
Just tell them no, but be nice about it, and offer to help them with it before class.

umm....i understand wut ur going through i to dont have that problem im the copyier and i feel that u have a right to say umm didnt u do ur homework but then again its just work cause when they have to take the actual test who is going to cheat no one cause they will get caught and as long as u warn them don't worry bout anything cause its just a worksheet that soon enough u wont look at until the work is done or the chapter is done or wutever but they will have to over and over until they actualy get it.and if u still dont want to let them c ur paper just tell them how u feel.

tell them that you will be happy to help them but you arent just going to let them copy..you work hard for your grades.. dont let people just take advantage of you like that stand up for yourself..yea they might think well she is mean for not letting me see her homework but would you rather get caught cheating? i know i wouldnt bc at my school we get suspended for cheating.. no matter what! i would just offer your help and if that isnt good enough then screw them!! dont let people just copy your paper because then they have it soo easy they can just sleep and screw around during class then when it comes time for homework they will just start depending on you to let them see it and everytime you let them see you paper you are takin the chance of getting caught, hope that helped hun! good luck

Don't let people push you around like that? They're taking advantage of you! Tell them that you don't tolerate cheating anymore, and that you'd be happy to help them with their schoolwork instead of giving them all the answers like that.
