Underpaidhobo answered Wednesday September 22 2004, 3:56 pm: Ooh believe me buddy. You're gonna have a scar. It probably won't be that noticeable depending on your skin type. I've got burns up and down my arms from various ovens ranging from 250 degrees to 500. A doctor isn't really needed just get some burn cream and wrap that puppy up. And Remember that chicks dig scars. [ Underpaidhobo's advice column | Ask Underpaidhobo A Question ]
Sunshine answered Tuesday September 21 2004, 3:23 am: I burned my arm on the oven rack of a 350 degre oven about 4 years ago and I still have a scar. It's not that noticable though, because once it was healed I rubbed it at least 3 times a day with cocoa butter lotion. Cocoa butter helps to reduced the redness of a scar. Hope I helped! MummuM answered Monday September 20 2004, 8:36 pm: Put some aloe plant on it, the juice from the plant helps the blistering go down so it doesn't make a scar! [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]
liddylflirtx3 answered Monday September 20 2004, 7:39 pm: Umm...put some ice on your burn right now! And then, put some medication on it! You may have a scar, but after you put on the medication put on scar-free ointment =) [ liddylflirtx3's advice column | Ask liddylflirtx3 A Question ]
xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday September 20 2004, 6:39 pm: yes it will scar. i did the same thing when i made brownies. it blisters. DO NOT POP IT!!!! it stings like a bitch... water will come out of it eventually just keep a bandaid over it for now so in case it pops there is something over it so it won't get infected. MFS answered Monday September 20 2004, 6:36 pm: If the burn is bad enough, go to the ER... the reason I say this is a 2nd degree burn can get infected if bad enough. If it covers a large area, you want to get someone to look at it ASAP.
If it hasn't popped, DO NOT POP THE BLISTER!
Take great care to keep the area as clean as possible, and very carefully and gently wrap the area to keep it protected.
DO NOT POP THE BLISTER! That is how infection gets in.
Again, if the blister is large, and especially if it has also popped, go see a doctor soon - do not risk infection. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
LilMia811 answered Monday September 20 2004, 6:34 pm: I don't think you will have a scar. You should run it under cold water, and apply toothpaste to it. the mint and the bakingsoda in toothpaste soothe the burn and cool it down. never ever use butter, you will basically "frying" your burn if you do.
