Question Posted Sunday September 19 2004, 11:20 am
my mom just recently said she thinks its time for me to see a gyno. so she made me an appointement. she tells me yesterday that she had a dream i was pregenant. do u think she is making me go to the gyno and had that dream b/c she thinks i have sex?
Siren_Cytherea answered Monday September 20 2004, 12:45 am: Your mom took her dream literally, when it probably had a meaning behind it that had absolutely NOTHING to do with you. The possibility of you being pregnant probably freaked her out, so naturally, she made an appointment with a gyno. Sex is a BIIIIG freakout point for parents. I mean look at it through her eyes - her little girl is growing up, and could be doing all sorts of things, including sex! *GASP*
I mean, when I was with my guy for like...6 months or something, mom made an appointment with a gynocologist because she was worried I'd get "caught up in the heat of the moment" and go have sex. (Funny thing was, I'd already lost my virginity). So she made me an appointment, I got the pill, and...yeah.
Just play along - it'll make your mom feel better, and therefore make you feel better. Also, if you have a gyno, and you want to go on birth control or whatever, they can help you with that. Your mom would prob'ly feel better knowing it was from a gyno, too.
I hope this helped!

Her dream probably freaked her out, so she wants to get you checked out to look for STD's or if your hymen is broken (a way to check if your a virgin, but not always true if its broken). Tell your mom the truth, that you are or are not having sex, but seeing a gyno even if you arent having sex, may be a good idea.

Sexybabii9095 answered Sunday September 19 2004, 12:08 pm: she doesnt have to think your having sex or you pregnant or anything, she probably just feels its time just to get everything checked, cuz theres other things they look at when you go to a gyno lol if your worried or anything about it, you can always ask your mom if thats why she got you the appointment, she might explain herself. mshonest4eva answered Sunday September 19 2004, 11:55 am: yes. shes making up excuses. she is still thinking of u as her little girl, and shes not ready yet, as u'd expect. Tag along, do wut she asks, but dont answer her indirect ?s, wait untill she asks staight up.
liddylflirtx3 answered Sunday September 19 2004, 11:40 am: I don't think your mom is having you see a gynocologist just because she had that dream. It's probably because you're around an age where she thinks it is appropriate that you get your vagina checked regularly.
