BellyButton Piercing
I want to get my bellybutton pierced but i dont think my mom will let me ill be 17 in less than a month any1 have any ideas on how to convince her ? and also i was wondering how bad it hurts and how they do it

I don't know why this is a fad, because frankly, 80% of the girls I've seen with belly piercings should never have done it. It just looks putrid if you've got fat on your stomach, and that is one of the easiest places to get fat. There's nothing like calling attention to your flab.
My friend (who has a flabby belly) just got hers done and said it feels like a pinch, no worse. My acquaintance got hers done for her 17th birthday and it got infected, very very badly, and she had to take it out and let it heal.

Hey well just convince her that your respsonsible and that you will take care of it. If you have friends that have it and she likes them mention that they have it. But just convince her that its a cute thing and its just like getting your ears pierced. WEll i have mine done and it did not hurt at all! seriosly a little pinch. Id say it hurt a 4 out of 10. It is a little sore up to 2 weeks afterwards but nothing too bad. YOu have to clean it twice a day with sea salt ( they give you all the stuff there). WHen the are piercing it first they mark it- then they put on the clamp ( it squeezes the skin together) that hurts worse than the needle- and then they just pierce it and take out the needle and put in the belly button ring! thats it! its worth it! good lucK!

Uhhhh! you are at that age. my cous got it done. she said it killed. and i say, what is the point?
think about it... what is going to happen when you are a mother? are you going to show off your belly button to your kids? Also, think what other people will think. For example, most of the people i know, when they see some kid with there belly button pierced, they think that person is a slut and sometimes even just another unresponsible kid. but i am not calling you that because everyone is different.
convincing your mom won't be easy, but like i said, think about it. try to find her at a nice and quiet time. then talk to her about it.
Oh yea, the do it by sticking a needle up and out of your stomach. OWIE!

just explain to your mother how much you want it and remind her " ya know im about to be 17 " and it would be a great gift for my b-day!
And tell her you wont be like other teenages and get it done without permission, because you respect her decision..and to top off the cake say not like i wont be 18 in a year!

There is really no way for you to convince her. and it hurts really bad. REALLY bad they basically shove a thick needle through the skin on the top of your belly button. they try to do it fast but it ends up being slow and it hurts really bad. i don't have mine pierced but i went with my friend to get hers done and she was sqeezing my hand when they were doing it. good luck. hope i helped
