Hello, over the summer a few of my freckles got REALLY dark on my face, and I don't like the way it looks. I heard that lemon juice works... is it true? How much would I put on? And how often?

cailoisa answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 10:56 pm: It's just a part of tanning. Use makeup to cover them. I doubt that there is a permanent way to lighten freckles. [ cailoisa's advice column | Ask cailoisa A Question ]

tinkerbell answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 7:50 pm: I don't think they will go away completely but you can lighten them. I hear that you can rub them with a fresh cut eggplant .. but since i doubt that most people would have that i also have heard that you can use cucumber skins to rub on them! The more sugar that you eat, the darker your freckles will be .. so cut out alot of the sugar in your diet and it should help out alot. ** Kacie ** [ tinkerbell's advice column | Ask tinkerbell A Question ]
SleepingBeauty answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 7:46 pm: Lemon juice doesn't actaully do anything to lighten freckles. Freckles are too far down in the skin to be lifted out by lemon juice. The only thing you could do without getting surgery or a special facial would be to wear makeup to cover them. I'm sorry to hear that you don't like your freckles. If you let them lighten, freckles can be used to a girls advantage in a look. [ SleepingBeauty's advice column | Ask SleepingBeauty A Question ]
blondie75 answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 7:45 pm: I've heard that lemon juice will work, so if u try it make sure that u dont leave it on for very long bcuz it will dry out ur skin. Its acid. so b careful. good luck hope i helped!

o0Tina0o answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 6:32 pm: no lemon juice does not work...
the reason u got freckles was because u were in the sun... give it time and they will go away..
or try putting on some foundation
or stay outta the sun for awhile [ o0Tina0o's advice column | Ask o0Tina0o A Question ]
Karen answered Tuesday August 24 2004, 6:24 pm: Umm, yeah I think it works. Just dab the lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it over your freckles and just leave it on for a few minutes I guess. Also, you should probably do it about 2 times a day 3-4 times a week. Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
