There may be signs. There may not be. For some girls, the signs that their periods are going to start are: tender breasts, feeling tense, and swelling of the abdomen or other parts of the body. Sometimes there's a crampy feeling in the back, legs, or abdomen. Some girls get pimples a few days before. And, you may even get moody or upset more often(PMS)..As you get older, you will become more familiar with signs that your period is coming.

Vaginal discharge, breast soreness, mood swings, food cravings and cramps.
I also know a girl who pukes before her period.
If your period is regular you can use a calendar.

Cramps,sometimes ur boobs may get really sore,aches and pains...theres a million ways...and also..this old woman told me that if ur underarms get a dark color to them...then its about time for you to start ur period.

You get grouchy and very sensitive to little things, you feel bloated and maybe have a loss of appetite.
If you've had discharge for awhile and your breasts have been growing, then you're going to get it soon!

umm.. ur gonna be a bit.. uhh wut'z tha word.. bitchy? yah.. bitchy.. nd u mite start craving 4 certain foods.. mostly chips chocolate nd potatoes.. but u neva kno if it will happen just cuz of these.. when u see blood.. then u kno.. lol dont panic tho.. ohhh! ur gonna start gettin cramps 2.. u'll hate those..

Well once you start getting discharge, your periods will probably start a couple of years or so later. Nearer the time, you may get cramps, have mood swings, your discharge may slightly change colour or consistancy and you may just feel different.

Umm, when you start getting discharge on your underwear and when you start craving chocolate and start having cramps. Or when you think something is coming out and you have to check it. Hope I helped :)
