NeW sChOoL!!
Im going to a new school this year, and its my freshman year. The school that i'm goin to has a freshman building so it wont be as hard by bein picked on by older kids, but im still scared. i went to a private school for quite a while and now im not sure what to expect! And me and my best friend were both going to leave our private school and go the same public shcool , but at the last minute --7 or 8 days. her mom changed her mind and now shes not goin there any more with me so im really scared! Can you give me any advice to help out or anything? ive never really had problems fitting in but im not sure if i will. Thanx a bunch!!

I'm going to be a freshman too! Freshman power!! :) New experiances are.. well, new! You shouldn't be nervous.. and if you want to get advice from someone who has been in a public school all her life.. People will prob be mean, but at the same time, soo many people will be nice! Public schools are very diverse, so there will prob be some people that will have come from private schools.. don't worry about this! If you survived private school, then you'll survive a public school! Have fun at school! -Ce

I had the same problem excpet i went to a public elementary school. But n e way i went 2 a provate Middle School and i missed alot of things. But i have a friend who went into a public HS with NO friends from her Private Middle School. Doing a lot of sports is a great way 2 make friends. Just be very outgoing and friendly, join a lot of clubs and you'll have friends in no time.

Be yourself! If you act like yourself, then you will become more confident as the day goes on. I know, cause i went to a new high school, and i made alot of friends just in the first two weeks. If your still a little worried, find someone that you have the most classes with and start up a conversation. I actually have 6/7 classes with someone! Always look at all your opportunites before you give up!!

Its gunna be scarry..but just walk up to some one and be like hi my name is...and just ask them how they like the school..and if there in ur classes just ask them if they could so u around like were all the classes are!

the transitition from private school to public scool isn't that bad, except you have to understand lockers. make sure you know how to open combination locks. and make sure youre used to switching classes and Don't get lost. public schools a little harder too... as for making friends, theres gonna be so many people in your position, its insane. because public high schools are huge and theres a bajillion people. find someone who might have the same lunch as you and sit with them

hey dotn worry about it, i have gone to a public school my whole life and every once in a while new kids from private schools come, they fit in perfectly fine. Just be your self and you will have nothing to worry about. Oh and dont worry about making new freinds....when you first come to a school, thats easy!
