Whats the Difference....
What's the difference between Taking a break and breaking up! I always saw taking a break as just an easy way of breaking up with someone...like just a nicer way ya know!

I used taking a break as an excuse to get my own space.. But it was never to break up with my boy friend.. he just took it really badly.. Then cheated on me *shrugs* o well.. Breaking up is when u cleanly say, I son't think we should date or I think we should just be friends. Taking a break, in my eyes, is soo different then breaking up because I've had experience with those words and I'm still hurting :-) but you're okay. Just remember, no matter wat a guy says, he's only true if he marries u, and if there's a divorce, than the marriage was false ;-) Stupid test answers...

I dont have experience in this or w/e but i think it means that ur seeing ur other options and seeing if ur still worth it and seeing if they wanna still go out with u.. and maybe u'll be back 2 gether soon.. u know??? it also could be a easy way 2 brake up w/ sum1.. but i dont think thats exactly wut it means..

That's exactly how I see it.. when you decide to "take a Break" with someone, it's an easy way of saying, "Sayanara, Bitch!" It's RatheR said, and pathetic. HoweveR, often times, it *CAN* mean that they need to bReak up foR the time being... to simply expeRience otheR things... eitheR way.. it means it's oveR. =D

Taking a break doesn't officially break you up with the person...it is pretty much a nice way of saying give me some space. Breaking up is ending the relationship. Don't worry, I sometimes get them confused too! Hope I helped!

Taking a break is usually when you need to take a break from each other, but you two aren't broken up or anything. You just need time away from each other, or you need to short things out, or whatever it may be, and until everything is okay then you two aren't on a break anymore. But, some people make the whole "I need a break" an easier way of breaking up with the other person. It just really depends on the person who is saying it I guess. Hope this helps you out.
