Question Posted Tuesday August 17 2004, 3:07 pm

I'm going into my senior year of high school and I have or will be taking all the required classes in order to graduate. I was wondering most college say you need 3 years of science I've taken two and then I've taken 3 year of History will that 3rd year of History make-up for me missing that 3rd year of Science. I have all the other requirements such as math and english. thanx for the help

Nope -- they want you to be at a certain level in each subject, and if you haven't taken the required amounts, you won't be. I suppose if they were really really high level science classes, they might make an exception, but usually, no, because they're two completely different things.

Most likely not because math and history are completely different and they make you take those classes so you know everything you need to know for going to college and stuff

Depends what state you're in. Every one has different rules. And also,every college has different rules as well. You need to do research about what your college's requirements are.

nope. You can't cheat your way out of it by using a credit from another subject. You just gotta take science your senior year

Hey! In High School I only took Biology and Chemistry. I didn't take any other sciences. I took 3 years of History also. When I got to college and I took my placement test I had to take a college level math class, a LAB science class, and often in most majors you need 2 college level histories. Talk to your advisor at your college. They will help you. Best of Luck *Melissa*
