*dying your hair*

Question Posted Monday August 16 2004, 10:19 pm

hey my hair is a blondeish color now..got that way from the sun...i have nothing against blonde hair on other people, i just don't like the way it looks on me. i have kind of pale skin, and dark brown eyes. my hair is 2 inches longer than shoulder length and very layered and straight. does anyone have any good hair colors i could dye it while still looking natural? like i mean specific colors--not "brown" or "red"...like maybe a color on a dying kit and the number of it

Try Low lights that will make your hair darker with a lil bit of your color showing.

I couldn't give you an exact shade which would suit you without looking at your colouring, but I think if your pale and naturally blonde, dark tones would probably look too severe on you and would mean you'd have to wear a lot of makeup to look 'natural'. I think a light brown honey or caramel tone would be a good thing to start with - it's close to your natural colour and so won't look drastic (and won't look too bad if you grow it out) and is likely to flatter your pale skin. As for which dye kits to use, L'Oreal have a good selection of colours, as to Clairol, if that's avaliable where you are. Good luck!

So I dyed my hair.. and I used Hydrience and the color is called Carribean Caramel.. Its an amazing color I love it... its like.. brown wiht some tints of red.. and it looks almost my natural color... But i love this color..and it would look good on anyone... Hope I helped :)

Ash brown would probably be good for you. It looks great with pale skin and dark eyes. Auburn with strawberry blond highlighlights would look awesome too.

okay well i dont know the exact number of it, but the brand is loreal color experte and i think a golden-y brown or a dark chocolate brown would be really pretty with your eyes. this kit is really good because it has highlights and lowlights built right into the color :)

*Caramel Blonde (its a dark blonde and it has like a honey tint to it..)
*Tawnee (kind of like a brown color, lighter; Looks nice with high and low lites)
*Expresso (the coffee lol, its a color kind of like a brown, darker than tawnee, looks good with people with a fair complection; it looks really pretty with champagne blonde highlites)
*Honey Blonde (Darker Blonde, kind of has a reddish tint to it, maybe a little bit of orange.. People with fair complection are more likely to tend to a darker color hair.. Hope everything works out<3 Paris Marie

Try light brown. My skin is pale , I have strait layered hair too. That`s what color mine is. I have red highlights... ( It blends in w/ the hair... you can barley tell ). But It would probably be really cute on you.

hmm...well i have dyed my hair 58908098345092310 times. lol not really but i've dyed it a lot. Mine is dark brown, but be careful when you dye.

It depends on your hair type (curly, straight, wavy, frizzy, fried, normal, conditioned, or dry)

I would recommend to like you said, do a home dying kit. The color's on the box are going to be really close to what your hair will come out to be. When you go to a salon, the color varies, and a lot of times it's harsher chemicals for your hair and it costs an arm and a leg.

If you have pale skin, and brown eyes i would recommend a light brown, or maybe a dark carmel color.

If u have a pic, i could probably recommend a better color, like a box number and everything...it just really depends on your features! IM on rockerchick1218 if you want to ;-)
