i think i look really ugly when i smile..but everyone says that smiling makes u look prettier but i dont think i do. all my friends get mad at me when i dont smile but i dont know what to do! HELP!
MaNdASzHElP247 answered Monday August 16 2004, 5:48 am: do something about it.. theres obviously a reason why you dont like your smile, i mean are your teeth crooked? or yellowish? or HUGe? or itty bitty..? i mean lol theres a reason and for all those things theres a way to change them! Tell your dentist, and if its a money issue ask him for the cheapest way! lol good luck!
If your friends get mad, then you must say it SOO MUCH, GET ANNOYING, or its not really as bad as you think. Maybe they look at it as "it could be worse"

NicoleMarie answered Sunday August 15 2004, 7:24 pm: I used to cover my mouth with my hand or sleeve when i laughed because i hated showing my smile and my teeth. Theres nothing wrong with them, it was just a self image problem. But everyone always told me that i looked prettier when i smiled. Even strangers would walk past me and say "smile!" I started to realize that i had no reason to NOT smile. So i had to check it out for myself. I would look at myself in the mirror and smile. This also helped me be a little more photogenic. If your friends and everyone tells you that you look prettier when you smile, then you probably do! Smiling, like the sun, is natures prozac. It makes you feel better. So smile at yourself in the mirror. I am sure you will agree with your friends. [ NicoleMarie's advice column | Ask NicoleMarie A Question ]

Siren_Cytherea answered Sunday August 15 2004, 7:15 pm: Aww, honey, I had this problem!
For the longest time, I HATED my smile, and did everything I could not to. Now I'm okay with my smile - I still don't love it, but I'm okay with it, especially now that my life is great and I have every reason to smile.
You've just gotta learn to accept the way you look and your smile. You can't not smile...that's way too hard.
At least, I can't do it...
I hope this helped!

Listen you have to have confidence in yourself and the way you look, thats what makes a person beautiful; Not all on how they are on the outside but how they carry themselves too.. Hope i helped.. <3 Paris Marie [ pArIs_mArIe's advice column | Ask pArIs_mArIe A Question ]
