ok i need help ok im like really addicted to smoking adn im only 13! and i need to quit cuz i play sports and i dont need to be all huffy puffy on the court please help me

im 13 too and i smoke. if you want to quit then just quit no ones stoping you. you dont have to take the meds or the patch just give them up. ]
eat lolii`z lol... or jus go cold turkey... cuz i smoke too... nd i have to have one every 20 mins.. nd ive been smokin since i was 9 on nd off... nd when i first quick i jus ate a lot of loli`z -haley ]
I forget what it's called but get the stuff that helps you stop smoking. If your family doesnt know already, tell them, and tell them to help you stop. Its better for ya ;)

ok i almost went threw the same thing. im in tennis nd everything. the 1st thing to do it Not to hang out with ppl who do smoke. because then that just makes you want it more. 2nd thing try not to think about it, try to set your sites on something else, like for an example a boy =) they always take up your time =P but make sure he doesnt smoke too!!!! 3rd if you have a very open mother, father, sister, or brother or anyone else thats older, talk to them about your problem nd see if they can buy some stuff that doesnt make you wonna smoke. Like the gum or the patch.

Star by only having like 1 a day, then work to 1 every 3 days, then work to 1 a week. Have your friends help you. If it doesn't work out all you can do is put like a rubber band on your wrist, and every time you reach for a smoke, snap it, and you'll be reminded not to. ]
hey i no alot of ppl who smoke and they say its hard to quit.u need something to have in ur fingers.see its not so much addictive u need to have something in between u fingers becuase ur so use to it.i would use something shaped like it.or try sucking on candys or chewing gum. im told that works

wow ummm...first off u shouldnt be smoking but to help your question just try ur hardest and when u try hard enough to get something it will happen...use self control and think before picking another one up... ]
If you can manage to get your hands on cigarettes then you can get the patch or gum too. You should deffinity quit. If you have the sense to realize that you have a problem and you have the dedication to play sports then you have what it takes to quit good luck to you ]

Do u realize that every cig. you smoke takes 7-11 minutes off youre life...
So if you smoke all youre life it ends up to be about 10 years..
If it really matters that much to you just stop...HAVE CONFIDENCE!!

when did you begin smoking? if youve been smoking for a long time, itll be harder for you to quit. but its still possible to do it, so i say, stay away from people who smoke for awhile until your body doesnt fiend for it anymore. ]
Smoking and sports, not a good pair. So your right, you deffinalty need to quit. I had a sister that smoked since she was 10 all the way up to about a year ago. And she used the patch. But i doubt that your parents know about your litte..habbit. So i would first try to just stay away from having them at hand, and if you do than to get rid of them. Try your best to have everyone that smokes not do it in front of you so then you wont think as much about it. I know this sounds hard but try to stay away from second-hand smoke..it will make you want to smoke. And thats what we are trying to prevent. Soo just remember before you lift a ciggaret 2 your mouth and light it up..You are trying to break the habbit. If you want to play sports then you have 2 say no and drop it. Chewing gum sometimes takes your mind off of it aswell. Good luck and best wishes at your games :) ]
Wow you really need to quit. Realize the facts. Smoking makes you wrinkly, smelly, turns your teeth yellow, eventually gives you hary toungue, you can get lung cancer. all kinds of nasty things like that. Try doing something else instead of smoking like .. writing or something. Good luck. Have a friend help you!
