tell someone you can trust and like I tell everyone else do the rubberband thing...take it put around wrist snap when feel like cutting it hurts but less then cutting! or try something else that you can take your stress out on like a punching bag maybe.

yes there is definetly help for u out there. i was once a cutter and i would cut myself a lot but not too too deep.. um, confront someone about your problem, like ur parents.. then u should go to the doctor and seek professional help. i was put on anti depressants, but i refussed to take them because they didn't make me any happier. im not saying they wont help you, but i do recommend them. also i would go to coucling, idk insurance may cover the cost.

i honestly hope that you are happier and i REALLY hope that you can overcome this pain. i did so u can to. also what helped me is i went to church and i built a stronger relationship with God.. which helped me completely overcome my pain. thats just a suggestion, i dont know if ur religious or anything but again, its a suggestion.

Theres lots of help avalible, but it all starts within yourself...You have to believe you can overcome it and trust yourself..on top of that there are lots of institutions that offer 1 on 1 therepy sessions, and group sessions also..It's tough to bring yourself to say "I have a problem and I have to seek help" You dont want to go through what happened to me..someone discovering it and the school makes a big deal and makes you go there...If you admit yourself..or tell someone so you are admitted things will be easier, but you must co-operate with them because they really want to help..It sounds like you want to really over come it..I wish you luck.

you should definitly stop cutting yourself. if you do happen to go any farther...you could risk cutting a main vein and bleed to death. you should go to a therapist or something so that you can talk out your problems to him/her. i once knew someone who used to cut herself, and to stop her habit... she would put a rubberband around her wrist(it was a loose rubberband, not one that cuts off your circulation) and when ever she felt the urge to cut, she would snap the rubberband on her wrist instead. eventually she went a therapist and he helped her through it all, and she hasn't cut for over a year now. i hoped i helped...*gabby*

Yes there is help! Now I am going to sound totally cliche here but hear me out. Talk to a trusted teacher or adult or clergy member (I sound like all the other adults now, ugh) But, I am a cutter too and my teacher helped me a lot. She got me the help I needed. But once you are on the road to recovery, you will still have some urges to cut! Don't hesitate to ask anyone around you for help, they will respect you if you do!
Good Luck.

when you get the urge to cut get your hands occupied. ANYTHING that will keep you busy and away from cutting yourself. get rid or let someone hide all sharp objects from you so you have nothing to cut yourself with also. it will be hard but you might eventually you will ween off of it. if you don't or even if you do - consult a doctor! they will help you! hope i helped. good luck and God bless!

well getting advice is a really good step! i used to cut myself too, and one day i decided it wasn't worth it. the rubber band idea is a good one. talk to someone you trust and feel comfortable talking about it with, or if you know someone who used to do it, they would be PERFECT to talk to, they understand, i still remain that the only people who truly understand cutting is people who've done it but most of all, believe you have the power to stop

keep a rubber band around your wrist.everytime you feel that you are going to, snap it. get involved in some sort of an activity. go to a counselor. the visits will be kept confidential unless you threaten to do something. maybe you can go to a support group. you have already realized you have this problem and you definitely have help. Or try this site [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) It talks about everything you probably want to know and much more - good luck

There is ALWAYS help for everyone out here and that includes you sweetie. Just try and take your cutting and replace it with something else like screaming or something. But if that doesn't work then maybe you should go to someone and tell them like a parent or a pro. at helping kids with this kinda thing.

*When you feel an urge, try ripping and crumbling up paper. Or just take a knife and cut food up. If you really can't stop yourself you need to go to a Group session for cutters or find a counselor.*
