Start off asking them how they are doing. Talk about something you both are interested in like a sport or something..

Just be like So what do you like to do for fun, ask them about plans they have for the following weekend, ask about plans for the future and what they want to do. Just ask questions and then it should go into converstation. Good luck

ask an incredibly strange and random question. like for example " if a turtle doesnt have it's shell, is it homeless or just shelless?" or "Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round? " or even "How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?" works for me :)

ask them a question about their intrests or their past or something. asking questions is always a good convo starter. or u could tell him about you and see if he picks it up and relates.

You should try playing the would you rather game - for example: would you rather take a bath in blood or spit?? okay, so that was a gross example, but you get the point ~ this way you can compare your answers and it'll get you talking and laughing a lil

I find that if you get him talking about music your conversation could last for hours.
