Anniversary!
My boyfriend and I have been going out for 5 months and are going to celebrate our half year anniversary on August 28. The problem is I have no idea what to get him! I think he's getting me a promise ring, which is sweet beyond believe but I don't have anything to match it! When I bring it up though he just says "the only thing I want is you". Adorable, but not very helpful. I would be greatful for any suggestions, and I don't have a lot of money. Thanks a bunch! Em'lee
btw: he's a big music fan, is learning how to play guitar, and loves wild, death-defying stuff; if that helps any.

he sounds very sweet. my suggestin is that u make a "special" costum box for his picks(for guitar playing) and some strings.. maybe a tuner too.. this might all together cost around 20 bucks depending on what kind of things u get and how fancy u make the box

Aww! That's so sweet! Well it'd be cute if you got him a poster of his favorite music artist. Or a book of tabs for his guitar. What about cologne? And how about a watch? Watches are great gifts. Even a cute jacket would be appropriate. I'm not sure of how great a cook you are, but if you set up a candle lit dinner with a meal you prepared yourself, such as: lasagna, stuffed chicken breast and salads with like a sundae for desert! I'm sure he'd be impressed! Or if that would be too dificult, you could always cut up some turkey sandwiches with chips and cookies and sit on a blanket at the park for a picnic. Then you guys could take a stroll at night and feed the duckies?? I don't know.. perhaps you already have ideas on what to do, but there's a few more to throw atcha. Maybe...you could do something sweet as...Maybe, getting him some flowers..It's kinda girly...but A guy likes it. Maybe a guitar book, or ask him if he wants to take guitar lessons and you'll pay for some maybe. I don't really know what to do. but me and my fiance...on our 6 month, he gave me a promise ring as well...but I gave him a teady bear, and bought him a whole outfit from Abercrombie. well, not much help.. but there was this guy in 1 of my classes last yr, well he played guitar, and he used one of his favorite gutiar pick thingys, and made it into a necklace, by puttin a rope thru it, maybe u could try to find 1 he likes, and try to make a necklace out of it
or maybe u could rite him a love letter, or if there's sumthin yall like to do together, like bowling or sumthin, u can treat him, like pay for both of u to have a round of bowling, or both tickets for a movie, where i live bowling only costs $3 per person per game

maybe you could get him a cd of his fovorite band.. or maybe get him a book on how to learn guitar, with some starter songs in it. You don't need money to buy the best gift in the world..love!

wow, this is a toughie. guys are hard to shop for. hm...are you any good at poetry? you could do that. let's see (gosh, guys have it easy), um...let me think...if he's a music fan, a cd? um...a framed pic of you two?..um..are you artistic?...maybe...cologne. do u two have any inside jokes? if you get something that reminds him of that, he'll think of you everytime he looks at it.

Plan a special outhing for the two of you that is out of the ordianry. Dinner and a concert in the city. If money is tight, a picnic at the park or a trip to the zoo. Take him to the races or a monster truck raily. Those are a hoot!
Massage oils are also a great gift too. Not only will he love the back rub, but you will most likely get one as well. Or get him a cool watch, maybe with an engraving on the back.

maybe you can buy him some cds, or a movie he wants. But this is kind of over the top and you dont have much so this probably isnt the best idea, you can rent a limo and go to dinner or something. I'm sure whatever you get him he'll love! And if you dont have that much money get pictures that you have of you two and make a college! :) Good luck!

You should burn some music on CD's for him. maybe his fave songs and some songs that mean a lot to you two. You could also take him out to the movies or to a free concert if there are any nearby.
