hey, guitars are definetly NOT just for boys!!i'm a girl and i play guitar. do you know any girls who play the guitar? point them out to your mom, and you maybe can use famous people too. if she lets you, practice and work hard so she knows she's not wasting her time or money.

well, to make your throat stop hurting, i always gurgle salt water (i know it sounds gross, but it really works!), and it will make your throat feel better for a while, and when it starts hurting again, do it again.

well, being 14, of course, physical looks are one thing. BUT, if you're one of those guys who has less-than-average looks, don't despair! i have been attracted to several guys who weren't all that good looking, but drew me with their sense of humors, and they were just all-around charming. if you can't get a girl by looks, go for charming. gets me every time.

My boyfriend and I have been going out for 5 months and are going to celebrate our half year anniversary on August 28. The problem is I have no idea what to get him! I think he's getting me a promise ring, which is sweet beyond believe but I don't have anything to match it! When I bring it up though he just says "the only thing I want is you". Adorable, but not very helpful. I would be greatful for any suggestions, and I don't have a lot of money. Thanks a bunch! Em'lee

wow, this is a toughie. guys are hard to shop for. hm...are you any good at poetry? you could do that. let's see (gosh, guys have it easy), um...let me think...if he's a music fan, a cd? um...a framed pic of you two?..um..are you artistic?...maybe...cologne. do u two have any inside jokes? if you get something that reminds him of that, he'll think of you everytime he looks at it.

ok well i just got an inground pool done at my house and i do like having my friends come over and swim in it...but one day my friends just came over and expected me to ask them to come in it...then when they're done they just get out and leave and go to someone elses house to hang out..does this mean they're just using me and they're not REALLY my friends? are these people you've been friends with for a while? or just since you got your pool. if you've been friends for a while, tell them you think there just using you for your pool, if you've just been friends with them since you got your pool, tell them not to come anymore

don't feel bad cuz you've never had a bf. my sister is 16 and she's never been kissed or had a bf either. there's plenty of time for you. you'll never feel pretty, it's just a fact. someone else will always look better than you, it will seem. don't act all giggly around boys. just be yourself. if you're shy, the guys will just have to deal with that

ok well i just asked a question about 3 guys. well u see i liked guy1 before i guy2 told me he kinda liked me. but guy2 is my best friend and idk wut i would do without him. and if he asked me out(which i have know clue if hes gonna) idk if i could say no. and that scrares me cuz ive always liked him on and off for awhile. but ive never wanted to like guy2 b/c ive told every one that i dont and i dont want to show that im wrong. but idk... i need help. i will rate.

whatever you do, DO NOT go out with both of them. that will lead to nothing but trouble. think about what you would do if guy2 and you broke up. would you still be friends? if you don't think you would, don't take that chance, and if he asks you out, say i don't want to ruin our friendship.

yeah, he's probably mad, or maybe he's just hurt. either way, don't mention the incident. he might not want to talk about it. it's always hard to be turned down, so when he starts talking to you again (or you talk to him) be extra sensitive.

get a friend to talk to him. ask them to be your messenger and ask him why he doesn't like you. then change those things.

no, this won't damage. just don't rip them out. it's also a great substitute for mascara in the summer when your on the run and don't want to bother with mascara. or if you have pale eyelashes

if she's just being nice, she'll say hi to you and smile when she passes you. if she's flirting with you, she'll go out of her way TO pass you and smile and say hi.

I've always strived for straight hair.. but it never seems to stay straightened.. when ever i flat iron it.. it always goes back to its natural fall.. and when ever i blow dry it straight.. its all poofy.. and i can't get rid of it.. any suggestions on how to get my hair to stay straightened? gah!! i have the same problem. if you blow dry it when you bend over, it blows the hair up, making it poufy. So blow dry it standing straight. Then don't blow from underneath your hair, instead do it from above. use a brush to straighten it as it dries. curling irons also work great, if you let them get really hot, and go slowly from your scalp down to the ends, it should be straight. it works for me! (another tip: if your blow dryer has a cool setting, use it)

idk, but i'm 13 (almost 14) and weigh 120 pounds. i'm 5'2". i think from 100-130 is good, as long as the weight is evenly distributed. too bad mine is all in my gut!

well, if your KNOW he likes you, then go ahead, tell him. if he doesn't know you like him, he may never make a first move. if he's already aware of your feelings, just act friendly and nice, and invite him to do stuff with you, which will clue him into the fact that your ready to start a relationship.

So no one likes you. Big deal. It's not the end of the world, but if you're determined to figure out why, ask someone. Ask someone who doesn't hang out with you a lot, and who will give you an honest answer. I used to think I was super nice, until my bf broke up with me, and I asked his friend why. He said, "He thinks you're too mean to him, and you always say mean things.". So ask someone like that. And once they give you your answer, work on the things they said were negative.

everytime I get a bf my friends think he's too ugly and that I need better, but it hurts him whenever i tell him what my friends think about him and makes me feel bad. I know how he feels because they dont know what hes like. Don't get defensive. Just ask them why they think that (a calm, cool, in-control voice is best), then explain why you like him, and what he's like. If they keep at it, ask them to stop. Give them an ultimatum. They need to stop nagging you. Your relationships need to be between you and the guy, not you, your friends, and the guy. Take a break from them for awhile, and have some alone time with your bf.
