when i have those akward moments i just start talking about something i heard about recently or something stupid that happened to me that day lol or my past or something. asking questions is always good cause it will get the guy to open up and you can learn more about him too. talk about each other get more personal.

I went through the same thing once, just start talking about what your day was like or what you plan on doing. If that dont work just try and find out some of his intersts then see what yall have incommon then soon a conversation will come up. After yall get comfortable with each other and get to know each other it'll b easier.
good luck ~KiSsES~

Childhood. Talk about how you two were as children. My guy and I ended up talking for three hours just about our childhoods. That's an excellent topic. Talk about dreams, random stuff. =)

Just start talking about what happened in your day. Kinda lie though. Like if he said he saw Lord of the Rings say something like, "OMG i always wanted to see that movie, then a conversation will sort of burst out. After a while you will feel more confortable talking with him, i promise.

Try talking to him about food, everyone likes food. Or not trying to sound messed up, try talking to him about people, there are always people to talk about that are really great or you can't stand. Ask him what type of classes does he like in school, or what does he plan to do after high school. Try the "where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?" question. And you can tell him the same stuff about yourself. Hope I helped! :)
