the band
Okay..me and my two friends crack and smack have a band crack played the drums but then he decided he wanted to play the guitar so he got into it. so we found a new guy, sven, that was into the drums so we got him..he didnt even know how to play..he bought a really expensive drumset and that was a while ago and he's still not good. Well anyways we just originally wanted the band to be me, crack and smack. so crack went back to drums..we've had band practice with just us three and sven just doesnt ever bother getting better with the drums. so we hadnt heard from him in forever so we pretty much figured he was out of the band...but just recently he keeps calling up and telling us his thoughts on how OUR band should be doing..and he think hes still in it..what should we tell him????we dont want him in the band!!!

Tell him he's not in the band because he isn't good at the drums...but if he wants a band tell him to start his own!! Hope this helps

Just lay it down for the boy.
Explain to him that he wasn't around, he wasn't that good, and he's really not in the band. To be in the band, you have to participate in the band. Don't be mean, just tell him the truth. He didn't help, so he's out.

ah... been there... sucks to be in that position.
At worst, you just flat out tell him that the band decided to keep going without him.
At best, you make up some elaborate scheme and list a bunch of songs that you know he'll hate and proclaim that you're all learning the songs and hope that he "leaves" on his own...
the other thought is, don't worry about calling yourselves a band... just have "jam sessions" and don't worry about "rehearsal" - in a jam session, people come and go, so its not a big deal to not be asked to play in one... but in a band with rehearsal it is a different mindset... so don't talk about band direction or anything like that... when talking to this guy, make him "know" that it is a jam session and that there is no band direction... then he can't feel left out.

just tell him that hes not in the band anymore, that u found someone to replace him, and if you need him back you will let him know! just let him down gently, but try not to hurt his feelings

well...what was ur name? oh u didnt say well im going to call u swan..anyways swan if u dont want him in the band then i really suggest u tell him straight up he cant be in it. and if hes not good then hes not good. so u gotta tell him its for the better of the band.. eventually he'll understand and get over it. but then again if u kick him out whos gonna play the drums?? well im sure u can figure that out but in any case it was ur guys' band in the first place and if hes just slowing u down and giving u a hard time then u have to tell him he cant be in the band... just be nice about it but tell him that u guys just need someone w/ more talent and stuff...dont let him walk all over u... if he puts up a fight, fight back

tell him that since he didnt contribute nethin to the band there was no reason for him to be in the band. n since he never came back for a while u guys figured he didnt reely want to be in the band nemore so u let him go. tell him that if he reely wna be in the band he should play sumthin n take it seriously. lol cuz thats wat bands do
